Please have a look at these ads. Please overlook the point that the horse magically changes breeds  I am actually just trying to find out who owned this horse BEFORE the advertiser did. Any help would be appreciated. I believe her name in her previous life (probably as a QH/Arabx) was Delilah and that she may have been a hunter. Thanks!

Edited to add that she may have been in Virginia, she may have been in Minnesota (less likely) and she is actually 15.1.

I wasn't aware that horses believe in reincarnation.

So she's advertised as a trakehner and as a dutch WB but she's actually a Quarab ex hunter?
Nice.

The horse has no papers, no breeding cert and no history. She *looks* like she is QH/Arab. That is a guess. I mentioned that to hopefully jog anyone's memory if they have seen this horse, I don't want anyone to say "but that horse wasn't a WB..." Hope that makes sense. I am just trying to find out who used to own her.

Have you asked Mistie Cantey where she got the horse?

I spoke with Mistie a few years ago about riding for her. She had a place about four miles from me. I tried to track her down since then and was told by a friend that she is now in Maryland, BUT I saw numerous horses for sale in December 2008 from her Kitrell NC address.
So ...?

I am not answering any questions about this.. I am *asking* if anyone knows who used to own this horse. You can expect me to continue to ignore any questions about the person who owned her when these ads were placed.

Well, you don't need to get in a big snit over this.
You are asking a loaded question to begin with, with the implication that the horse has been presented in a possibly fraudulent manner.
Yes, the greys are similar, but so are many other grays.

Actually I was trying to derail the trainwreck I saw coming over the fact that the horse is listed as having two separate breeds but I see that might not be avoidable
I just want to know who used to own the horse before the person who advertised her and I intend to use all the information I have to do that.

Just be sure you are talking about the same grey. So far I have always respected your posts and your judgement. Just wondering here.

I think I know this mare. If so I think she is by Diamont sp? I am going to write the owner and direct her to this thread.
If I am right she is out of a TB mare, this gal bred some nice horses back a few years ago. She also bred a nice Weltmyer sp? gelding about the same age.
This gal is in CT. But has shipped horses all over the country.

The second ad says the mare is by the GP stallion Tarim; of course the second ad says she's a different breed than the first ad, so whatever.
Beautiful horse, although the head tilt in the photo in the first ad is a little odd.

The mare you have referred to came from Tina Stierlien in Stillwater, MN, who bred her. She is by Tarim, who is Trak out of a TB mare. She was vetted by Ms. Stierlien's vet prior to coming to me, who had a health history that documents that the horse was born in MN. If anyone has any more questions about her or any information that conflicts with what I know, they are welcome to email me. My email address and phone number are on the ad.

And for those wondering about Trak. vs Dutch - Dutch is a registery and has MANY different bloodlines in it - Holsteiner, Trak., Tb, Gelderlander, etc. And one of the ads stated MAY be registered... meaning if you did a lot of legwork using DNA to define Sire and dam AND horse passed inspection then horse could be registered.
Glad the OP got her information.
Lovely mare.

So... wonder why the roundabout route was needed to get the info from the seller who seemed willing to post it here???

OK So do you have to believe in reincarnation for it to work??
