Does anyone know why Casey Zubek didn't do dressage?
And who's horses are Anna Nordin driving?
Just wondering...

If Anna Nordin is from Sweden, she was absolutely awesome driving that 4 in hand. I was on hazard 3 and she beat Chester Weber (I think) on our hazard. Just got home and am plain worn out.
Someone told me they thought she was driving Jim Richards horses. FWIW

At Lexington in Oct, it was announced that Anna's horses were former dressage and jumpers who had only been together 5 months. (short time to get to intermediate...)
according to my source, Casey was eliminated because he thought he did dressage on Friday and didn't show up.
thanks for updating the results, it's great to live vicariously!

I'd just like to go on record and say that my little JanJan is a crazy driver. She's calling it fast and not crazy....I'm calling her crazy ;)

The 4 in hand that Anna is driving belongs to Patsy and Seth Wooten of North Carolina.

It's ok and that's how it goes. I understand she won cones today. :) I like to see the girls do well in this venue.

Sara turned over in the cones course today. Her groom was shaken up but I don't think there were any injuries. Her carriage was pretty beat up....

After the torrential rains that delayed the start of cones by an hour, it became incredibly cold, with gale force winds ripping through the Horse Park. We suspect (and Sara concurs) that it was a combination of a huge gust of wind (that also knocked over tables in the sponsors' tent) catching the carriage, spooking her pony, and her wheels getting caught in the turf. She was shaken up but okay (although later complained of a bit of pain in her hand and arm), and her groom went to the hospital to be checked over for a suspected broken rib. But she was in good spirits, joking with the "cute" EMTs and accepting applause from the crowd with a little wave and bow as she was taken off in the gator. :)
