I had such an awsome response from everyone in finding my older trail rider a home here that I decided this was better than selling my other guy.
17 y/o 16hh bay TB gelding that has done it all! He started out in the A/A hunters as a young man but tapered off into packing scardy cat amateurs around 2'6" courses. He has shown hunters sidesaddle and is loving his new job, currently schooling 1st level dressage at home. He is very impressed with his own extended trot! He is on field board and does really well out there, when he is stalled he tends to get a little stiff. He is sound and not on any meds but could use some joint daily supplements to feel comfortable. Only shod upfront. He is an easy going, super sweet guu, EXCELLENT gound manners and just loves to show. He is actually better at shows than at home. He would do really well staying in dressage, he seems to really enjoy it, or the hunter pleasures, or even as a trail rider, he really enjoys that, no problem with water obstacles or anything.
If the rider has particularly heavy hands or is prone to pulling and hanging on the horses face, this is not the horse for them. If you start a tug of war, he will give you a tug of war! The rider has to ask and then SOFTEN. I know everyone says they know but I have seen it happen before. It's easy enough to learn
Please PM for pictures, located near Leesburg. Thanks everyone!!!
