View Full Version : I love you guys!! I just nailed a Horsetech sponsorship! COTH was the main key.

I'm thrilled beyond all understanding.

Rod called me last night to speak to me about my sponsorship proposal.
He was interested in me because I just happen to add in the proposal letter that I post daily on COTH BB and we have in depth product discussions often. (And of course I added a bit about the Adult Onchocerca thread and how we sold out Horse.com of their wormers)

Because of my wonderful COTH friends I now have a year sponsorship from Horsetech.
Thank you guys so much!

The kicker here, I almost melted with intimidation when Rod mentioned his other sponsored athletes:
Debbie McDonald
Courtney King
Steffen Peters
Kristin Backman (the only eventer that they had sponsored)

And ...um... now me.
Yikes, can we say odd man out here?


Anyway, Rod would like a corporate Facebook page for Horsetech.
So if any of you are on facebook I would really appreciate you finding me so that I can have horsie people to hook up on the horsetech page when I get it going.

I'll change my default to a pic of my gray horse so that I'm easy to find.

I tell ya,
sending the proposals is the easy part. Biting the bullet and calling the company owners is VERY intimidating. You guys wouldn't know it but I'm actually super shy. I often stare at the phone with number in had for weeks. Sometimes my initial anxiety pays off in wonderful ways though. : )

I loved the response I received from the first tack shop I approched...this was IN PERSON.
"ya, sorry, you're going to have a hard time finding anyone to support you since you haven't gone to Rolex."

It was such a harsh statement that all I could do was laugh.


Now the hard part is hooking HorseTech up with a facebook and staying within the 'terms of agreement'.
It's been tough so far.

Congratulations on the sponsorship!!! On a different note, did you find your trailer you were looking for?

Look forward to seeing you in my area (GA) and will cheer you on from the sidelines!!
