I'm doing a favor for a friend who rescued two Belgian PMU mares. I volunteered to put a few months of training on them so that they can be adopted out. We are looking for forever homes for these girls.

Peace is 4 this year, around 16.2hh and she's the chestnut with flaxen that is popular in American Belgians. Very typey mare. I went out and worked with her last Saturday. I think she will be a very good citizen once she has some training. I found her to be very sensible and a reasonably quick learner. Let me know if you may like some pics.

The other mare Rose is a stunner. 17.2 or so and long neck and legs, very suited to be a riding horse and I bet she would produce fabulous warmblood babies with the right cross. She is 9 years old a chestnut with four white socks and blaze. She has great angles for a draft which is why I say she would make great babies. That being said I intend to get her started riding and driving. She's a real sweetheart and has more handling at this stage.

Sweatpea, Rose's yearling filly is available as well. She was believed to be bred to a thoroughbred, but I think it's likely her sire is the Percheron stallion at the PMU ranch. She is bay but may grey. She is also very sweet. Not a ton of handling and a little pushy, but good natured and being worked with.

I have some pictures and would be happy to provide more. Hopefully over the next few months they will both get the training they need and I would be happy to show them to people. PM me with any questions.

Don't forget to post this on the Rescue/Rehome section of BAEN.

Lots of draft lovers there!

Sweetpea has a new home.

Rose is coming along quickly, so far she's the easiest horse I've ever started. Check out their blog. I still need to find a good home for Rose. She really deserves it.
