To the "My horse rocks" thread?
I wanted to watch the video, but I can't find the thread.

A thoughtful and measured thread degraded when looky-loos showed up to belabor the point, which was too bad. The thread probably needed a time out. And about three less pages.

The John Nunn thread is also gone, derailed by someone (1) accusing Mr. Nunn of being a capitalist and (2) likening any criticism of her posts to a communist regime.

I was enjoying the absurdity. Oh well.

Don't forget the brainwashing. I was really enjoying that part. :D:lol:

Probably for the best.....

Aww...and I wasn't reading those threads because I thought they were boring....

I read the first few posts when they were first posted and just kind of boring but nice 'yay for whatever'.

Oh well....Can't find them now, have they been deleted?

Yes, I suspect so--but the Mods sometimes "suspend" threads for a couple days in order to read them over and make a decision (and give everyone a breather if the thread is controversial ;)), and I'm thinking that this is what they are doing in both cases...

Especially in the case of the "My horse ROCKS!" thread, since it was starting to seem deserving of that dreaded "train wreck status..."

I was reading it several times daily myself (didn't post, because everything had already been said, essentially), but look at how many views it had--yikes!

:sigh:

I think the (new) Mods RELIABLY (like clockwork) do the right thing, so I would be surprised if they *didn't* respond to this thread's questions with a well-thought out, tactfully stated, and logical explanation :)

Don't forget the brainwashing.

You know, I forgot about the brainwashing.

Isn't that the first sign you've been brainwashed?

The video is not that bad, IMO...

The round seems to start out smoothly, and then degenerate into a bit of "deer jumping", but I think we have all had rounds like that from time to time...:p

The mare doesn't look "dangerous" in the video, and the riding seems competent; she might have buried her in a few places (and the mare seems to have a bit of a problem jumping from the base/close spot), but it's hardly frightening to behold! (And that mare has a lovely canter...)

The pix are more disturbing...

Actually, that wasn't the video I saw. There was another one, of a lesson...

Aw - I hadn't read the John Nunn thread since the first couple of posts. Now I'm disappointed!

FWIW, though, the mods have asked many times that if you have a question about a thread, you PM them rather than posting another thread, since they don't (can't!) read every single thread. ;)

Awww now I'm mad I didn't read the thread while I could.
It sounds just as scandalous as those Laine Ashker threads a while back.
Talk about a laugh....

Man oh man. I was lured into this thread by the "what happened" header. Then I looked at the photos and videos.I certainly wouldn't like to send that horse into a solid fence...
