Is There Anyone/Anywhere That Sells a 5.25" D-Ring or Full Chk French Link.....?

It's been months now, literally, of web searching. I'm bleary-eyed from it all.

I know 5 1/4's are rare to begin with but, I'm sorry, $180+ for a bit (a Stubben) is just not do-able by me. Don't even get me started on the Herm Sprenger's or KK Ultra's. :rolleyes:

I've tried asking multiple places to order me one but, once again, that pushes the price out of my Willing-To-Spend range.

Even my trusted folks on Bits and Barter don't have any.

VTO Saddlery has egg butt and D-ring, but only 5" and 5.5", not 5.25", for about $30. I'm guessing that 1/4" is what is hanging you up...

Yup. I can find 5's, 5 1/2's even 6's up the wazoo. They're everywhere. It's the 5 1/4 that is the issue.

I've tried a 5 1/2....it's just too big and slides through her mouth very easily. And a 5 is just too small and pinches.

I have an eggbut now but wanted the full cheek or D-ring for those times on trail when she gets a little hard headed about going somewhere scary and spins away. I turn her to make her face it and she opens her mouth to let the bit slide through, regardless of the noseband. Booger.

They have a bit I would like as well, but I can't abide paying an additional $7 or $9 (whatever it is) to ship a single bit... but if we could split the shipping costs and I pick it up from you...
