This 16.1 hh bay mare was successful at A/AA shows, Champion in Vermont Summer Festival, top ribbons in Pre-Greens and AA hunter divisions. Has produced two lovely WB foals and she is a beautiful mover. She is a 1994 model who was bred to be a hunter. Easy keeper, lovely disposition and easy to work around . Has some hock arthritis. Would probably be sound for light/trail riding with some maintenance. Located in Virginia.

Hi-I am looking for a broodmare and your mare may be just what I am looking for. How is she to live with? Can she go out with a gelding? Any vices? Thanks for any information...

HI-- She is very easy to deal with.. no vices. She is fine living in or out and has lived out for the last two years but comes in to get her feet done, etc. She was a show horse for years, so has all the proper manners, etc.. I think the only gelding she has been out with is the miniature donkey, but I don't see that being an issue!

She was easy to breed.. no problems getting in foal or foaling, etc. The only issue, depending on your situation, is that she is not JC registered. She was a homebred and my old trainer did not register her as he bred her for the hunters by his stallion who produced many top hunters... .

Thanks! Who was her sire? JC is not an issue-I have a young Dutch stallion, so eventually I will get my mares all approved with the registry I take him to. Where in Va are you? Did you ever trail ride her and how is she?

She is by What a Ring (Bold Ruler grandson). Her full brother went to indoors, etc. in the green conformations, and her sister by Ring was top 10 in the AOs in the country a few years ago. She is in Culpeper... yes, I have ridden her on trails... she is totally fine.

Are you in VA?

No, we are in Pa but I'm from Va originally so am familiar with the area. Can you PM me your phone number, and if my husband seems on board with this, I can just give you a call. Thanks!

I've sent the link to this post to a friend of mine who is looking for a horse for her lesson program. Do you think the mare would be up for W/T lessons? My friend breeds Paso Finos and needs a horse that can trot so that she can teach posting.
