Wanted :Free, Light, Pleasure-Only Lease (Maryland)

I am a student looking just for a horse to ride a few times a week for pleasure and stress release. I am about an intermediate level rider but I really don't enjoy showing, so I don't need anyone flashy, just a simple, easy ride. Jumping is neither here nor there for me, I wouldn't mind a horse that is prepared to jump, but a ground-only would work just fine. I am a pretty tall girl, so I would need a horse perhaps 15 hands or bigger. I am willing to do an on-farm within 30-40 minutes of 21042 or if you would allow, I actually have a place to board that you could check out if you'd like. I have plenty of time and money to devote to a horse, but an easy-keeper would be preferred as I'm not quite ready to make a HUGE investment and, as I mentioned before, this is for pleasure only.

Hi

I have a 16 yr old Mare (app-paint) easy keeper that is available for companion and easy riding. She is currently in a place that is blowing our budget with two our other 2 competitive horses boarding elsewhere.

She is mature so tends to be functionally lame from time to time but still ridable and loves trails and has jumped but we try not to jump her.


where are you located?

We were hoping to get her into therapeutic riding but today's economics has kind of short circuited that.

We would love to get her in a situation we can afford and where she is useful.

We have a big gorgeous dark bay TB gelding for $1-, and if he ever needed a home he could come back to us- quiet and sound for pleasure riding or dressage, barefoot, not a lot of jumping though.....he is 11 yrs old and a blocky 16.1h, located in MD.....
