I took a few years off from riding(um like 10) And need some new breeches. But I can not for the life of me remember how sizes run! If I wear a size 12 pants, what size TS do I need?
Also, do you think there are any breeches that are better for tall folks? I am 6'2.... need some longs, lol!!
Thank you!!

Ariats and TS's seem to fit my 5'11 and 6' friend well. What about Kingsland breecehs or Pikeur?
No help with sizing though sorry.

Thank you!! When I was showing, way back when, I wore TS. They did not make longs then, and they came , if I was lucky mid calf.... I dream of finding a longer pair of something, lol!!

Not sure if this will help you but I will a size 8 pants in street clothes and just bought a size 30 in TS. Some of it may depend if the breeches are 2 way or 4 way stretch.

Oh, I can help you with the length thing as I'm short!!!!

I would try a 30 or 32. Definitely get longer legged TS's and if you can get the 4 way stretch, not the 2. 4 way is much better. ;)

depends on how you like them to fit... i'm a 12 in most pants, and generally wear a 34 ts. i can and do periodically wear a 32, but i prefer them to fit a little looser, and the 34 is just more comfortable. plus, if you get the cotton ts, they shrink a little even if you never dry them. daughter wears a 6 in most pants, and she prefers a 30 ts...

I wear a size 6 or 8 in street clothes (I think I'm a more legitimate 8 and usually only wear size 6 in "vanity sized" clothes) and I wear a size 30 in all of the TS 4-way stretch breeches (schooling, supremes, and professionals are the ones I have). I'm relatively average height at 5'6" and the regulars fit me fine, so you'll obviously have to go with the longs, but I don't know *how* long they are.....sorry!

go to a tack store, try a bunch of diff TS on. they have several different styles, and i can be one size in a certain style and go up or down a size or 2 in other styles.. its really hit or miss. try everything on bfore you buy it, if its made by TS! like, i wear a (childrens) 14 in the supreme hunters, but i wear a 16 in the royals and schoolies

I would definately reccommend a 32 or 34... definately not 30. I'm 5'10 and wear a size 10 pant, and find the size 32 4-way stretches are the best. I have a few pairs of the 2-ways in a 32, but the material is pretty constricting.
I find that the waist in a 34 is more comfortable for me, as I have a bit of a potbelly (haha, for lack of a better term), but the legs and hips are so loose that I look like I'm wearing the big-hipped breeches of yesteryear. If you are more well-endowed in the thighs/hips, 34 might be best. If you're just tall and skinny, try the 32s.
I recently picked up a pair of the schooling breeches with clarino knee patches, and they fit pretty well. They are the low rise version, though, and I don't think I could comfortably tuck a show shirt into them, so I would see if you can't find someone to order a regular rise if you have a longer torso and would like to show in them.

Good luck. Your best bet is taking a trip to a local tack shop and trying some on. Otherwise, you could order a pair of 32s and 34s, then send back a pair. Remember that breeches look much better in a size slightly too big than even a hair too small! Even the 4-way stretch material is terribly unforgiving!

Thank you all! I think way back when(um 5 kids ago!) I wore a 30. It sounds like I would need a 34. I wisj I had a real tack shop near by.. but if there are any, I have no idea where they are.
Here is a pic of me, you can see how long my leg is. Ignore my too short half chaps. I need to find a new pair of those in a tall too.
