share your purchases :D
i gotttt
- lots of new sponges
- more liniment
- little bottle of quikbraid
- more castile soap
- black beval baby pads
- socks
- soft touch spurs
- medium charcoal Grand Prix coat :D
- 1 TS shirt, pink and white stripes
- 2 Essex shirts, 1 is lt/dark aqua stripes, 1 is minty green check pattern
- 1 plain lt cornflower blue Beacon Hill shirt
allllll of that for 400something $$, which is seriously a STEAL considering there's a GP jacket in there!
there were some decent door raffles today :) i went really early, like at 9AM when the store was basically opening ( had stuff to do later ) and there were only a few raffle ticket things in the buckets, and i admit last yr's prizes were nicer (i won an integrity cooler last yr!) but maybe they get better as the sale goes on. there's new ones every day. today i think i entered myself for.. some basket of random stuff like different treats and shampoos and useful stuff. there was a nice ariat jacket and an essex shirt and grooming stuff and some supplements and dewormers, but hopefully i'll win again :3 i was the only ticket in that bucket (but then again, this was early in the morning..)
i think i'll go back later in the week at the end of the sale, since usually the discounts go up towards the end. i might get a few more pairs of TS schoolies if theyre really discounted well. i also saw these adorable lettia pads that are normally $50, but i think they were only 20% off today. they were so cute. they had little whales and monkies embroidered on them. SO CUTE !

*Sigh* How I WISH I could go to the store! Alas, being in Georgia, I'm placing an order online for a Stamford padded/stitched bridle (for schooling), new spurs (the kind with the little metal rolly ball), and perhaps some tack claening supplies, as I am interested in trying the Akene (soap and conditioner) and the Belvoir.
I'm passing on the LTD2 padded bridle, as I found a used New Canaan (plain raised/padded, which is my preference) on consignment, and ordered that. :D

Let me know how you like the Akene soap, their conditioner is my favorite. I would love to find a New Canaan before they started making them fancy stitched.

If anyone is at one of the stores and sees a great deal on a cob sized fancy stitched bridle let me know. Last year someone on this board got sheepskin boots for $50 a pair, I called the store and one of the girls graciously dug around the bins and found some for me. Hoping for the same thing this time!

i got... new stirrup leathers! mine were so thin they were about to snap, so it was time haha. but other than that i don't make too much money and have no horse right now, so that was the end of my purchases! good thing i'm not showing right now either, they had some really pretty shirts.
i also LOVED THAT WHALE PAD! did you see the matching polos?! SO CUTE. i had to restrain myself.

Oh, how I wish I were close enough to go to the store! The shipping didn't make it worthwhile to get many of the little things I wanted, but can get locally.
I did finally order new stirrup leathers that I've been needing for a while, and a new fitted saddle pad.

No kidding! I was going to give their geleeze sheepskin half pad a shot but they charge shipping based on price instead of size/weight. :confused: Total ripoff!

Wish I could go! I have some New Caanan bridle ( I love that one too!)parts, but am missing the headstall and cheek pieces. Sigh.... What can you do..
Is the LTD the only square raised bridle they make? If there is one in cob size hanging around, I'd love one!

A custom tack trunk cover! I had a gift cert, it was perfect. Can't wait for it to come, takes about 3 weeks. Brown, tan trim and light blue piping.

Wahhhh! I wish I could go!!!
Could anyone see if they have a killer deal on a size 32 or 34 shirt that would go with a hunter green jacket? When I lived in NJ and frequented the sale, I always made out like a bandit on the show shirts.

* helmet deoderizer
* sponges
* Baker halter
* martingale attachment
Maybe there are a few more odds & ends in the order - I can't remember..... I know there's nothing big.
I was going to get a new CO helmet for myself, but it's not in stock. I'm trying to decide (by tomorrow) if that means I shouldn't get one now, or if I need to go ahead and get it :sigh:

If I can scrounge up enough pennies, I will get another NEWPORT. Those bridles, in my opinion are the nicest bridles Beval makes (but I hear they are no longer making them??)
I have an older one, actually, quite old, at least 10+ years and it is still in PERFECT condition. Love the dark brown colour.
It is square raised, padded. I think it also comes just square raised. They have reins and martingales (square) to match. Lovely set. MUCH nicer quality than the Ltd 2 or other beval lines.

baby pad for $7, cute new lead rope for $7, and ... the best steal ... these amazingly nice braided reins with gorgeous stitching for $35, I think they were like 70% off the original price.

I got... liniment, sticky spray in the orange can, a jumper bat, new reins, some rust TS's, WHITE TS's with my fingers crossed that we'll need them this year...($65! whooo), and some new socks. On a whim I put my name in every raffle, and won a whole ton of supplements that I also probably won't need....Anybody?? LOL

I got Back on Track wraps, a grooming tote, gloves, spurs, some first aid supplies and a few books and gifty things. There was some nice stuff on the 50% off tables, but nothing I needed- some combo bits, some Mylers, all sorts of open fronts, standing martingales.

I ordered one also. Padded zip top in royal blue, orange trim, orange piping, monogram. Can you guess which Florida team is my favorite ? Hint, go gators !
Also ordered a measuring stick. I really need one since mine "walked" away when the boarder left.:( Got to measure those foals and ponies :lol:

Quick question for anyone online.... I am about to buy some new stirrup leathers from beval... I'm about 5'3 and didn't know what length to get... should I get the 48 or will they be too short?

I usually get 50", but I have bought 48" children's leathers before and they end up great :)

i'm 5'4 and was agonizing over the same thing, but i buckled up one of the 54" ones to about the middle, and did the 'arm test,' and it actually seemed not too long... i was surprised! will ride in them for the first time tonight, we'll see if my estimation was correct haha.

True, but when they stretch out you'll have a ton of leather flapping out of the stirrup keeper thingie.

they are nylon lined, so i hope that won't happen! at least this is my theory haha. i'm not opposed to just folding the extra under the saddle flap. :)
