Anyone ever heard of these, or used one?

Thanks!

I've had one for awhile. I love it !

I've been using the hunter pads. They seem fine, and you don't need to use anything like a chamois to keep the saddle from sliding back. They have to line dry after you wash them- that's the only drawback I've noticed.

They are FANTASTIC for non-slip issues. I doubt their shock absorbing claims though, so I used mine in combo with an ulta thinline half pad-- seems to work very well and you can't notice the ultrathinline.

I will say, I think the fleece edging they use is a little "cheap" and I wish they would upgrade. They did change fleece a year or so back, and it is an improvement from what they originially used, but I would like to see it change again.

If you don't have slip issues, I'd probably stick to a different kind of pad, but for slip issues, this is the way to go!

We just started using them, and love them. I had a hard time wanting to try them, but I'm hooked! We have numerous pads in our barn now. Get over what they look like, they work!

My only issue is that once they start looking dirty, I have never seen them look really clean again.

I had one, and ended up preferring my blue gel leg wrap no slip deal far better. I didn't really notice much of an improvement, I don't love them aesthetically, and I had a bad experience with the sales rep. I wouldn't recommend it.

these are all that I use on my high-withered TB hunter. Coupled w/a Bates Elevation saddle, it has totally eliminated rubs.

I checked these out and the one I'd want (with extra padding as shims) was $300!!!!! Really??

Um, no. Not worth that.

I just ran around my first Intermediate XC with the Ecogold pad on my mare, and my saddle didn't slip even a HAIR. And it normally slips a couple inches even with a breastplate. I'm sold!

I love mine. I was able to snatch it off eBay for just $50 bucks and it looks brand new!

I have one complaint with my EcoGold pad---The bight of the rein catches on the rubbery underside of the pad. I'm constantly pulling it free-I'm sure it irritates my horse too! While it's true it never slips on his back, I'm not sure that offsets the rein problem. Any ideas?

I like mine for its non-slip properties, but I agree with others that once it is grungy, it never looks quite new and pretty again. I use mine in conjunction with a thinline pad.

I love them, they're terrific. It eliminated Tip's need for a protective back pad.

Love them, but as mentioned above, have always used them with a ultra thinline halfpad to give some back relief. My trainer used to use a (black-ugh!) nonslip before the Ecogold and I hated trying to make that look tidy as well as keep it from folding up underneath the saddle when the tack was readjusted (the nonslip always seemed to slip).

Agree they are tough to keep clean. I have had some success using woolite and non-chlorine Clorox for colors.

Recently, I told a thinline rep they should get together with ecogold and make a combined pad. I would love to only have one thing to throw on their backs.
