People wanting a farm dog, should never consider Pit Bulls. Here is proof that they are aggressive and should be banned.

I as well was about to lose it, and was going to defend the breed. (before I saw the video)
Having one that is 13yrs old, he is the best dog I have had, they are a great breed, and very loyal.

If the video's creator was aiming for irony, their message should have been in reference to the cat not eating the chicks. Of all the complaints about pit bulls, few to none are in regards to their tendency to attack and maul either cats or baby chickens. As it is, this is just inane.

I'm way more impressed with the cat!!!!!!! Our barn cats would have ate them chicks in the blink of an eye.

That rooster loves that dog.
I did fear for the rooster at 1:27 though.
Well trained dog.

The minute I read that headline, I thought "here we go again" I should have known, as these dogs are wonderful and I probally will never have another breed. Although, I must admit "Louie" (who was not raised with cats or other animals besides dogs) would probally have a field day with the cat and chicks.

Oh. The horror. The horror. Someone stop this.
(Seriously, I wonder if the cat was thinking "if that dog and that human weren't there those would so totally be my McNugget six-pack.")

The cat was the best part of the video. He's like "Ah cr*p, here we go again." Cute video.

I saw the title and was running my "speech" through my head! (The worst dog attack I knew about was from a classmate whose geriatric yellow lab did SERIOUS damage... I'll wait for another thread to dive into that though :-D)
I loved where the cat started batting his toy mouse around 1:21, and yet sat there with the little pompoms surrounding him. The expression on the dog's face is priceless.

SO CUTE! I have a pit mix but I admit she puts my cat's heads in her mouth ever now and then... "bella you spit that out!" She's never been aggressive with them and I can even trust her around my guinea pig.
ps- The cat looks like Milkshake Evelee Hunter's (on this board) cat.

The cat had this totally disgusted "are you kidding me?" look on his face the whole time!!! I love it! Good dog, very good cat (those chicks would have been history with any of my cats...one sits on the chicken coop trying to plot the full grown rooster's demise...I think the rooster outweighs the cat ).

My thoughts exactly!
And I kept thinking - hope the chickies don't poop in the cat's fur!

LOL I was too, I was ready to come unglued.... I was taking the biatch to work with me tomorrow with a video camera... whew, my day just got less involved..
And for what it's worth, I LOVE that other people know and love this breed as much as I do. Fight the good fight, folks!

I love when the chicks were pecking and scratching at the freckles on the dog's head. Just once it looked like the dog looked at the camera and sort of rolled his eyes.

Someone recently posted on COTH an article where the mayor was trying to ban Pit Bulls from the city. If owners did not get rid of their Pit Bulls they would come in and euthanize! It amazed me seeing they had had only 2 instances of conflict in like 20-30 years (going off memory here).
I am on the board at our local shelter. I was in a conversation about the issue above with the manager of the shelter discussing the rehabbing of these dogs (specifically Michael Vicks Pit Bulls). I was amazed to find out that virtually all of Vicks dogs were rehabilitated. She then proceeded to explain the reason Pit Bulls were chosen for dog fighting. Aparently, Pits will not "turn" on a human when the dogs are pulled away from each other during the fight. This is not the case with some other breeds used in fighting.
I find it sad people would use this "trait" to there advantage with such a horrible sport such as dog fighting. I do not know much about the breed but the Pit Bulls I have been around have been the sweetest and most loving dogs. Its sad they (and other breeds) get such a bad rep. :(
It is great to see wonderful videos such as this to hopefully better educate the public. Thanks so much for posting!

Love the video.
My golden mix would have eaten first, asked questions later....Oh, you didn't want me to eat those things...oops, sorry....my bad.
The cat looked as if she/he was saying.....just wait till mommy disappears with that damn camera...then your asses are mine and I'll just blame it on the dumb dog...who is completely oblivious to the fact that you are little hot wings on two sticks.
Now the owner did get on my nerves in the Rooster Video. Poor Dog just wanted to eat his damn birthday plate.

Ditto: that is why I advised to skip the first :50 of owner babble.
BTW I didn't think that pitts were that small (I thought there was an AKC approved terrier that looked similar to a pitt and sharky may be one of those). The chicken dwarfs that dog.

Staffordshire Terriers are similar. Actually, they are similar in a lot of ways.. but have the terrier, umm.. tenacity. (or terrier-tude), similar to the Airedales, in alot of cases. (Some are really sweet though).

Cute video but not terribly impressive. More impressed by the cat, because everyone knows cats do what they please when they please.
My heeler will kill small animals (usually groundhogs and squirrels) and even cats if left to her own devices. But, when in the house with my cat, she won't even so much as curl a lip at her. She killed our rabbits one night when she broke into our hutch in the barn. Yet the new bunnies (which are in a safe room of the house) can be on the floor with her safely when I'm there. I have no doubt I could surround her with chicks if I was standing there and she wouldn't do a thing. She is very well-behaved in my presence but leave her home alone with them...dinner is served

My pit is little. 51 lbs and is not tall or super stout. My Shepherd mix is 80+ lbs. She is well within normal range. She is strong, but not big. I too was surprised at how big they aren't! I thought a "killer" ought to be much bigger... She will be lucky if she doesn't grow much more as being any bigger than she is might impede her chosen lifestyle as a lap dog.

Bravo! Should try to put this on the local news or something. He looks very well bred, not all wonked out like some that you see on tv. And you can totally tell those were his babies. Too cute. And bravo for what looks like a part siamese! They are pure evil with a voicebox! Love them though.
