Okay, just found out yesterday I am going; driving over early Saturday with lurker Norman's Mom and have fab seats for both finals. And probably the Saturday afternoon thing as well. :D

Who else is going?

I'll be there with my hubby. We are staying @ the MGM Grand. Have tickets for both Dressage and Jumping (up in the nosebleed section).

I was wondering if you were going?? I am there for the SJ and will buy a single seat for Dr! Perhaps a meeting up is in order?? Not sure where I am staying yet! More news later!

I'm going Weds - Sun for both Dressage and SJ. Now just have to figure out hotels & flights (ugh). Finding a hotel is proving to be a PITA.

I'm going! I'm staying with a whole bunch of people at the MGM Grand.

BTW, I've never been before... tell me what kind of shopping there is?! If I'm going to find a lot of stuff to buy I need to plan ahead.

I'm going to the SJ Thurs-Sun.
DH is taking me for my birthday! Not sure where we are staying, thinking Mandalay or Hard rock but we will see.
Might be fun to meet some COTHers while there.

My DH and I will be there . We have tickets for the SJ (and two extras if anyone is looking, go check them out on ebay for cheap!)

I am hoping to get some dressage tix, only if I can get good seats. Anyone want to trade? We have a house in Henderson, so we don't have the fun of staying at the casinos. The best hotel that we've stayed in for the money was the Venetian.

I am going for DR (Thurs - Sat) and staying at the Southpoint. The Arabian Breeders WC is being held there. Shopping at both WC and Southpoint is supposed to be really good! The list of vendors is on the WC website.;)

We are going to check out the arabian world cup too! It was going on last time we were at the WC in 2007. We learned that in the arabian halter classes they chase the horses around with plastic bags tied to sticks! It was a trip!!

I am meeting a friend from New Mexico there...we went in 2005 and had a blast. We, too, are staying at Hooter's and a little abashed, but it's so cheap, we couldn't resist...$220 split between two of us for all four nights.

We also will be checking out the Arabian show at Southpoint...tho probably more for the shopping than the show. I have a half Arab, half Oldenburg I compete in open shows and Sporthorse on the Arabian circuit, but can barely stand to watch 'regular' Arabian competitions.

I just found out that I'm pretty sure I'm going. A friend has an extra set of dressage tickets and a hotel room so I'm planning to be there Friday AM-ish to Sunday. I'm excited! Will also see if I can get some show jumping tix.

Peggy, it never fails - you live only a short zippy drive from here and I only ever see you at Really Big Shows! We need to coordinate schedules so you, ChefJade and I can have a long gossipy lunch or dinner. And I am SO starting to do the WC Happy Dance!!!

And I am SO starting to do the WC Happy Dance!!!While the 405 is not always describable as zippy, definitely agree. That way we could sit in comfortable chairs and eat something besides over-priced hot dogs.

At any rate, will definitely be there at least Fri-Sat and will try on Monday to get individual jumping tickets when they go on sale.

If I do early Christmas shopping, that doesn't count as spending money? Right?

I am so excited,I went in 2000, and it was so much fun.
Oh and I am staying at the Bellagio (No, I am not paying, if I were, I would be at the Motel 6...lol) Something to do with the CC points is why we're at the Bellagio, and no I am not complaining!!!

A friend and I are booked for hotel and flight. :) We'll be staying south of Southpoint at the new M Resort. We plan to attend the Arabian World Cup and want to attend one evening of SJ and Dressage Freestyle.

Question, I've not been to the FEI before. Would you all expect the Freestyle to sell out at this arena? Should I buy tickets beforehand and how long before? Thanks!

We can't go this year. :( We have great seats for the whole showjumping series, and they're for sale, if anyone's looking. See Miscellaneous Classifieds on this board if interested.

I'll miss being at the COTH breakfast this time. Total bummer. :(

I may not be there either! Mr G and Rosie took a tumble and he came up with a broken collarbone and ribs. Surgery 2 weeks ago so I am not sure he will be up to it! Hard to play poker with one hand!:eek:. Hopefully it will all work out for us!

Mr. asb_own_me and I will be there for the second time. We went in '07 for show jumping and dressage and had a great time. I gave up our SJ tix this year, in favor of having some more down time to do other things. The shopping was pretty good, and I'll be back looking for another pair of Eurofit riding pants. I got some in '07, goegeous midnight blue, full seat suede, Kentucky jod style legs. My youngest Doberman ate one leg off a couple months ago. I was crushed....and mad! Hopefully I can get another pair.

We're staying at Caesar's again, loved it last time. Are we doing a CoTH get together breakfast again?
