View Full Version : Please Jingle for my Pony

My cushings/IR pony got her Rabies Vaccine today, it always gives her laminitis. I waited 3 years to revaccinate, but didn't feel like I could wait any longer. She's been on Banamine and Ace since Wednesday and will continue through Sunday. When I checked on her at lunch she was up and sunning herself, not in distress yet. Maybe she'll be okay this time around, she's much more stable going into this than she has been in the past.

Pssst...soak her feet in ice water 20 mins at a time as often as you can for the next 72 hours. ;)

I've been standing her in the pond for a while, it's got ice at the edges. :) She enjoys that, too!

Update - Pony was still sound last night. On top of her shots we moved barns this weekend. She moves *very* easily and seems to love new farms. Hated to do everything within a day or so, but she and I were moving to a new home and it had to be done this weekend! I now have a cute little apartment over a barn, she has a big stall and run, and is living right under my apartment! WooooHOOOOOO I am so excited, meeting the movers at noon to move all my stuff in.
