Are there any stallions in North American that have sired winners in all three disciplines: dressage, eventing and show jumping? How about at the grand prix or advanced level?

I believe Edgar's stallion Landfreise II has done that. I remember the questions in the breeding contest last year on wbstallions addressed that topic. Can't remember the names of the horses to compete but they were at the high level of each discipline.

What a nice accomplishment. I would bet he has sired quite a few successful Hunters too.

Landfriese II excelled himself at jumping and dressage but sired advanced/GP horses in 4 disciplines including the 2006 USEF NATIONAL HUNTER HORSE OF THE YEAR and USEF Grand Champion Conformation Hunter.

It is nice to see other names besides *Abundance on this list.
*Abundance successfully competed in upper level jumpers with his owner Al Steiert, as well as winning in three day eventing at Fair Hill. He foxhunted for 15 plus seasons with Pickering Hunt, drove single and double for pleasure as well as competitively. I was lucky enough to ride him to the Senior Medal Dressage Championships and was long listed for the PanAm games with him.
His son Jackie Blue jumped for Canada in the L. A. Olympics, son Aachen won Rolex Three Day and the USEA Horse of the Year Title. Our son Again and Again was successful at grand prix dressage, and daughter Able Spirit was an international medal winner and grand prix dressage winner.
And of course Ruxton is in the working hunter Hall of Fame.
Great to know he is not alone in multi-discipline sire success.
Gotta love the versatility and the talent from this elite group of stallions.

Probably part of the reason the Steierts were atracted to Landfriese II and bred some mares to him.

Edgar, what was the dam's breeding on this one? Just curious.

The horse National Champion Hunter called Quality Time is out of Dorella. A top show jumper mare herself. She is by Sandro - Domspatz.
Quality Time's full sibling, a mare, has had an approved stallion by Come On, called Come Soon, who received a 10 on jumping at his inspection.
I hope I am correct on this.
I am interested in possibly
breeding my Hanoverian mare,
Bordeaux-Don Carlos ,to Landfreise II. She is in foal to Pablo, and has had one by Paparazzo (named Posh) who is also a beautiful hunter type winning in hand at big shows and the IHF Finals. I think it would be a nice cross.
I think this stallion has a lot to offer in many disciplines, as proven.
I almost bred her to Landfriese II last year and am pretty sure he is my choice for her for 2009.

Have you seen Quality Time? I can't recall having seen him, and am wondering what type of horse is...I'd also be interested to hear what type of mare you are considering breeding to Landfreise II, he too is on my 'list' so I'd appreciate what others who are considering have to say.
I'd be interesting to see how many stallions available in the US fit this list - maybe an amended list? I'd like to see the various lines that are producing horses that can compete at the top in a host of disciplines....

I too must admit that Landfriese II is in my top 2 or 3 right now. :-) I'm sort of in love with Pablo though *sigh*...decisions, decisions...
I am hosting a stallion picking party tonight (should be cleaning right now)...just an excuse for us gals to get together, eat, drink wine and talk horse.
Ok. back to the OP's topic...(sorry)

I have an AHS approved TB mare in foal to him for 2009. She was accepted into the JBP for AHS with scores of 8 and 9. I am hoping to get a little more suspension and a lot of jump. Love my Landadel"s!

I saw Landfriese II's only 2008 foal up in Bellingham Wa, in November.. She is a real looker out of a heavier TK mare. she has her dad's head..It looked like he really stamped his baby's well..She really had a super sweet personality.. They said they was going to email pic's but still haven't..

I know Diamont sired dressage & eventing winners....and for that matter, Ideal has sired "winners" in all those disciplines. Probably not the absolute top level, but horses that have done well.

A Fine Romance, a Thoroughbred, has sired 2 Advanced event horses, from his first two small crops. Other babies are on their way up.
He has sired one winning Grand Prix jumper, with some younger ones competing at the lower levels,
and has a couple of young dressage horses out there - no GP ones though, yet. ;)
He also has offspring winning on the line, Premium at their inspections, and competing successfully in Hunters, including A/O.

I don't know if he has sired winning jumpers, but I believe the Grand Prix dressage stallion Tantris has successful offspring in dressage, eventing, hunters, and also in combined driving.
Another one in the same category is Rolling Stone - also a Grand Prix dressage stallion with offspring competing successfully in dressage, eventing, and hunters.
Both of these stallions are still available for the minimum bid in the Oldenburg stallion service auction, which ends tonight at 10 pm EST. http://oldenburghorse.auctionanything.com

It would be interesting to know at what level these stallions' offspring are competing (thank you Fred).
