All I can think of, is the saddle makers had to much to drink during a designer meeting and went a little overboard.
Or....... someone said......... "Lets do this for grins to see if we can blow the fake nails off of the DQ's out there!"

That saddle has been for sale for quite a while. There was a thread about it in off-course weeks ago.
The unanimous opinion was that hair-on cowhide on the seat of your saddle sounds like a good way to get hair splinters in bad places.
eta: last time, it was cheaper I think! By quite a bit! I hope someone didn't buy it thinking they'd turn a profit!!

Why-why-why?
Is that real? Is it painted, or is the leather real? I seriously think a person had to order that thing and was drunk when they did it. Now, leopard spots? Maybe? LOL:):):):):)
Whew.

Why, oh why, has it "never been used?"
Wow. I think it might be the one saddle that needs to be dropped off at Goodwill in the dark of night (or left at the dump).
It is truly awful.

I'm an eventer, and we're known for some pretty out there colors and stuff. Even I just have to say NO to that

My instructor always says I'm truly a frustrated rodeo princess...
I love it. It's hilarious. If it fit my horse and were comfy I would 100% school in it and seek a schooling bridle with complimentary tiger-striped bling.
Ah. The things you can do when you school at home...
At a show? Hmm...would be perfect for the annual 'redneck dressage' event, sadly cancelled after last season

The whole hair on cowhide splinter thing wouldn't discourage you?

Hey, I'm the one selling that :lol:
Just kidding... But, seriously, from a long term eBay lurker, that THING has shown up on eBay several times over the last few years. First time I saw it, they were asking $4,000 for it. HONEST! It was "custom made". Someone actually REQUESTED that saddle be made:lol::lol::lol:
OK DQs, imagine doing a Musical Freestyle in it to the Lion King. Gotta admit, it would be rather fun, wouldn't it? Actually, it would be even more fun to be the scribe for the judge who first saw it come down center line:eek:

I just showed that to my guy and suggested we get it so he could do a Freestyle to The Lion King ON his horse, Lion King. Wanna know what he said?

That's hilarious! I've never ridden an Ansur, and for one brief moment, thought about bidding -- till I saw the starting bid and $1800-something. Uh, nope.
For $50 bucks (the cost of shipping) sure, why not! But no, not for THAT price.
Only to be ridden in full-seat breeches!!
