I know the basics on Landino, but am interested in hearing more details! Anyone own any Landino offspring, or grandchildren? Particularly interested in hearing about daughters or granddaughters.

This is a client's mare Calida - http://www.paardenfokken.nl/pedigree.php?horseid=304688
She's by Calido I and compact, has correct conformation, about 15.3 and quite a character. Apparently, she was a twin and went through the Elite Auction in Handorf...purchased as a jumper and injured about a month after coming to the States. Since it was a career ending type of catastrophe, after her rehab, she became a broodmare...
The first picture on the left is her 2006 colt (3 months) with the next two the full sister 2007 (12 days & 2 days) followed by the 2006 colt again at 18 days.
Her foals are growing in a steady, consistent package without hitting any ugly moments. They have gotten their sire's temperament & good nature...Cleo can be a tad opinionated at times.
Hope this helps.
Edited to add -
Here is the video link for the 2008 filly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgGYBZVnbYc
FWIW the handler is 6' tall.

Yep I have a Landino daughter. Was an advanced eventer, now a broodmare. Fabulous big mare, very bold, very scopey, very old fashioned in stamp. A bit of a star all round

I have a Landino daughter, named Pandina Bella. See
http://www.morningside-stud.com/PandinaBella.html
Pandina Bella is on foal to Cornet Obolensky (due in early March).
We have a couple of her daughters by Ekstein in our breeding program.
We've sold progeny and grand-children of Pandina Bella to Ireland, Uruguay, and Florida. We recently saw in Uruguay her yearling daughter by Condios, named Condina Bella M2S, and she has a fabulous loose-jump and canter.

We have a grand-daughter of Tom's Pandina Bella, ours being the one in Florida. Ana Bella M2S is on our Website under "Sport Horses". She gave us an outstanding filly by Consul in 2008 that people, including Europeans, were standing in line to buy----Della Joia Bella S----- that can be seen under "Young Horses" on our Website.
She was just backed this month by my daughter and will be in training this summer with my daughter and Fernando Cardenas, where Monica will be working this summer before she (Monica) joins Tim Stockdale of the UK in September. I have several potential sires in mind for her next foal...we want to retain her responsiveness and natural jumping ability so will choose a well-known and accomplished jumper sire- probably Holsteiner. She is my favorite around the barn as she is so alert to her humans. I see her as an exceptionally competitive jumper as she is both powerful and handy. And we and the current owner cannot say enough good things about her filly!

Michele's Ana Bella M2S (Condios x Ekstein x Landino x Voltaire) is a super young mare. I last saw here in Florida about a year ago.
Ana Bella M2S has a yearling full-brother named Dynamic M2S that we have kept as a stallion prospect.
She also has a 2-year-old "full-brother in blood" named Cherokee M2S that is a stallion prospect in South America and is owned by the same stud farm that owns Condina Bella M2S.

I appreciate the info. guys. It looks like I'm going to be adding a Landino/Pilot mare to my broodmare group and I like hearing about successful breeding crosses, etc. I know a lot about the Pilot side of the mare, but am not as familiar with Landino, hence looking for extra details.

Landino/Pilot is the cross that produced Lanciano, is it not? Sire of top dressage stallion Lord Sinclair, and top hunters Without Question and Lute'ce. Interestingly enough, Lord Sinclair has produced some top hunters also. I think Kenny Wheeler and Scott Stewart have owned some if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, Landino/Pilot did produce Lanciano. I'm hoping to utilize this mare in my jumper breeding program; she already has a couple of 1/2 brothers competing successfully in the young jumper classes in Germany. It seems like the Landino/Pilot cross was used quite a bit, from what I can find in my research.

I believe Landino, sire of Lanciano, is a different stallion than the Landino we are writing about.
