5 degrees, windchill negative 15.
New horse arriving imminently, totally clipped horse from a barn environment to be added into my 24/7 turnout. Poor mare. She'll wish she'd stayed back in her old state (and barn).

I'm in WI also! Right now it is -15 with -37 wind chill. I just checked weather.com when I saw your thread! Supposed to hit -17 below tonight with -36 wind chill, and the same for tomorrow! The funny thing, is when I was hockin' manure this morning at 5 a.m. I had to take my hat and coat off because I was hot.
I used to have a friend in International Falls, MN and she would LAUGH at me when I said -15 below was cold. She would say "Yeah, well, it's -38 right now before you add the wind chill! With wind chill its -65 below!!"
Sometimes we'd laugh that the earth spun around to the backside of the moon and we're gonna die in this desolate wasteland. It feels like siberia sometimes or armageddon! LMAO!

At what point does hell freeze over, because I've been waiting on that for a long time. I have a long list of things coming to me when that occurs.
All I know is that it's f'ing cold out. I'm at the office and still dressed in layers.

Even though I am getting cabin fever after being stuck at home for the last 3 weeks with a broken ankle, I am glad I don't have to go out in these temperatures. -28C this morning at my window. Colder with windchill of course, but I don't think there is much wind.
Glad to know my pony is snug as a bug in her stall.... protecting the pipes in the barn ... lol... horses stay in in these temperatures or go out in groups for an hour or so to make sure the pipes do not freeze. I don't mind at all!

-5 actual, -23 windchill.
BUT! I had to get up at 5:30 am and go outside in the snow in my PJs to unclog the furnace air intake while my husband sat in front of the furnace staring in puzzlement. And he's the handy one.

Geeze, at 6AM it was a balmy 6 degrees outside--not sure about the windchill though..... One more day of this brutal cold and then it's supposed to go back up to the thirties, lows in the twenties at night... :uhoh:
I have to be honest--I don't have my horse anymore and I have been so thankful that, at my advanced age, I didn't have to go out to the barn this AM....

So where is this Global warming ,I ask you? Bring it on. 5 degrees here this am without the wind chill. I has shot up to 10 now. I officially cancelled today. i just can't bring myself to stay outside all day riding horses when it doesn't get out of the teens .this is why i could never live in minnesota ,or some frozen land like that.

Extreme cold snaps are an effect of global warming.
That's how ice ages are created. :)

it was -22 here this morning without the windchill. If you go about a mile or two in either direction it goes up 10 degrees. We are smack dab in our own little micro climate!
I saw several snow devils yesterday too. They are so beautiful to look at but they scare me as well. We had one take down some fencing a couple of years ago, no telling what else it might do and I don't want to find out either
It's supposed to be even colder tonight. I have MS and this kind of weather is just really hard on me. I never ever let it get the best of me except stuff like this.
and Arado*TB, just don't wear contacts. Don't ask me how I know.

-24 here this morning, not sure about the wind chill. The middle "zone" of my heating system gave out sometime during the night and it was 38 degrees on the main floor of my house when I got up this morning. Staying home today with a fire going to keep the pipes from freezing!

I really do not know how some of you do it. Some of these temps are making me shiver just sitting here at my computer. Stay warm guys.
Now, if we did this thread in the SUMMER in regards to heat... well, I believe that *I* would win the record heat temps. Not that I am proud of that.

and Arado*TB, just don't wear contacts. Don't ask me how I know.
-34 C when I was feeding the horses this morning.
I prefer contacts to glasses when it is cold (and at most other times, too). Glasses get cold where they rest on my nose. Glasses fog over when I go back inside the house. I haven't had contacts freeze to my eyeballs, ever! :-)

Re: Global warming
Its now been changed to the general "climate change" in order to not offend the northerners like myself!
I was filling a water tank today and the hose froze before I could finish  At least I got *some* water in the tank!!!
