This notification came to me in an email through a friend of a friend. PM me if you want the woman's contact info or pictures. I didn't feel like this should go in the giveaways section because the woman needs a foster home for them, but I'll post it there too
As far as the horses go:
"MEG"
I'm too busy to give my horse all the attention she deserves due to a hectic work and traveling schedule and would love for someone to come and play / ride her 2 - 4 times a week and just spoil and pamper her like she deserves! She's a great all around horse, 18 years old, 15.1 hand, Bay (QH x TB) mare, very sweet and pleasing personality! I'm looking for a person to lease her from me and she is up for sale also.
This is an all around, done it all horse. She has done training level dressage, hunter / jumpers, trail riding, flat work, 4-H, Pony Club, proven broodmare, Event prospect, Fox hunting, Gymkhana, Child safe, Hunt seat Equitation, Hunter under Saddle, Husband safe horse, used in parades, lots of show experience / miles, has been ridden as a English & Western pleasure mount.
Do not let her age fool you, she still has a lot of scope and get up and go in her! She doesn't look or act like an 18 year old at all. (More like a 5 year old!)
She has been used the past 8 years as a lesson horse and Therapeutic riding so she's very easy to get along with, great ground manners and has a very pleasing personality. Very sweet mare and loves to be pampered and spoiled! Anyone can ride her!
I unfortunately don't have the time I used to, to spend riding her or grooming her and would love to find someone that's somewhat of an intermediate rider / advance beginner to share her with me and groom her / ride her the days I can't do it. Or perhaps find the right person to give her a new home!
"SKITTLES"
Skittles is 6 years old, has been used as a broodmare, in pony rides, in summer camps and birthday parties for little kids to ride on. We used to take her trail riding during summer camps and she'd just follow Meg, my TB mare who is the love of her life around where ever we go. She was trained how to pull a cart as well (however I don't have a cart and it's about 3 years since she's done that)
She will need a refreshers course as she's been out in the pasture for 6 months now since I shut my riding facility down and stopped teaching lessons etc. She's as sweet as can be and would love to have her "OWN" girl that would love, spoil and pamper her to death. She loves to be groomed and loved on, she LOVES water and loves to be sprayed down with the hose, actually she'll steal the hose out of your hand and try to hose you down as well She is extremely playful still, cute as a button. She has her own unique personality, and I love this girl to death! I've had her since she was 6 months old and I spend so much time with her training her and working with her.....it breaks my heart to have to sell her but I'm loosing my farm and have to get them into great homes ASAP.
She's great for the vet, Farrier, loads into a trailer no problem, she stands to be tacked up, she loves to be body clipped as she gets so fuzzy in the winter times. She's very easy to catch, will be the first one to meet you at the gate and or greet you with a warm whiny and see if you have any food / treats for her.
Ideal situation I would like to find for the horses:
I'd like to find a temporarily fostering situation for Meg and Skittles, I really want to try and keep them together if possible until I can get back on my feet again. I'm trying to lease Meg out, I hate the thought of selling her as she's my baby...but if it comes to it I will have to sell them both. I'm not in a situation where I just want to dump my horses at a horse rescue, I am very skeptical to do that as most rescues are filled to full capacity and have lack of funds to properly care for their animals, I have friends that I can give them away to if I absolutely have to. I'd just like to find a place to temporarily keep them, or pasture board them for minimal as I lost my job 3 months ago and haven't been able to find a job, I have a lack of funds but I know I will be back on my feet soon..... I'd love to even find a situation where I can work my board off for these two, in exchange for barn help or caring of other animals.
And as for my dog Delonica
"DELONICA"
She's a 7 year old Jack Russell female, very sweet dog, not Jack Russell at all! Very laid back... a in your lap type of dog. She doesn't have the typical Terrier personality however she does love to run in a open back yard and chase squirrels around....she's not a barker but will bark if something's wrong.
