Posting for a boarder - free onsite or offsite lease. Approx. 11 year old, 15 hand gelding needs home ASAP. He looks like a TB/welsh cross to me, but not positive (his owners may know his true breed). His teenage owner no longer wants to ride, and the parents can no longer afford to take care of him. They have even mentioned taking him to auction if they cant get him free leased (on or off site). I think they would sell him eventually to the leasor for cheap if the free lease situation was working out. He has done hunters and jumpers and is well trained in dressage. I was told by a fellow boarder that with some consistent riding (hasn't been ridden much lately) he would be ready for level 2 by spring. He is a cute mover and a cute jumper. He also had been used in a lesson program. He is chestnut with a flaxen mane/tail. He has a blaze and four white socks. He is very cute! He has been boarded at my farm for the past year and we haven't had any issues with him. He is sound and has no vices or health issues. He is not for a dead beginner. He is located in Maryland. PM me ad I can give you the phone number of the owner.

Do you have any pics of him? He sounds very cute. My daughter is going to need a new horse this year since her guy has navicular and is retiring to become my husbands trail horse. I don't want to really BUY another horse because I know there are good ones out there who need homes right now and I already have 4 that won't work for her for one reason or another!! She is not a dead beginner but not a fabulous rider either. She is 10 and just had her first year of lessons last year. She does much better in the show ring than she does when practicing. (works well under pressure I guess!) We ride hunters and don't show much, just a few times a summer. Riding lessons once a week all sp/su/fall and one 4-H meeting a week in the summer. We ride at home a 3-5 mornings a week and I would like to take her out on trails some this summer. We don't need a super fabulous horse, just one that is reliable, calm, sweet and mostly sound. A cute, easy keeper with good feet would be nice too but we all have limitations! :) Just let me know if there is a possiblity that he might work out for her.
(We are in Ohio but I think I could talk my husband into a road trip.)
Thank you!!
