I have room (stall, turnout) for one more horse, and need a solution to my 'can't leave one behind' problem.

I have a 3 stall barn on 6 acres. When we bought the place, I was boarding 1 TB. As part of the move, I aquired a pony for DD (bringing both to new place). To avoid the left-behind issues, I also aquired another TB.

Turned out that TB number 1 really quite hated Florida, and was also eating me out of house and home. He has gone back to MD, so now I have the left-behind problem again :(

I've considered goats, donks, another pony, etc., but while I have space and don't mind the extra work, I'd like to avoid actually owning another critter.

When we first moved in, I advertised half heartedly for a boarder (the actual paying kind), but the truth is, I'm more interested in having the extra horse around when DD goes to shows, and possibly having someone to ride with (although not required).

So, FL peeps, I'll put up your horse. You provide feed, but no partial care etc. required by you.

I have lights, tack room, jumps, plenty of places to ride. I have a 2 horse trailer and am fairly close to parks and Canterbury.

Wow! If I wasn't settled in Micanopy, I'd totally take you up on it. That's a fantastic offer.

Hi there. I live in Alachua, not far from the Dairy Research Unit. I have a horse that might be interested in the companion position.

Thanks!

Hi - I am not sure how to private message, so could you private message me? I live right near you with a lovely, extremely quiet Irish Draught gelding, and this sounds like an opportunity of a lifetime!!! Thank you so much!!! :D

Are you still looking for a companion horse to fill the spot?

I will be in Ocala through May, and was considering bringing my very well mannerd QH gelding....
