Sales? Deals? Clearances? 74 or 75".
Doesn't have to be super-hard wearing (I don't think, unless the yearling has suddenly developed a taste for blankets... otherwise the girls are good... )
I suddenly find myself needing to outfit the middle child. She has a heavyweight Shires in 75. She could really use a medium weight, and eventually I'll need a waterproof sheet too. I'm all for getting a medium-to-light stable blanket and waterproof sheet and layering, that's ok too, though obviously the former is less labor intensive. TIME I got though, ca$h I do not... :uhoh:
Looking for basically cheapest without being SO cheap that it won't last at least until late April.

I just bought a McAllister sheet from equiteric on e-bay for $25. They are actually pretty nicely made! Not high end, but not cheap either.
I also have one of these for each horse:

Really attractive, although the hardware isn't the greatest.

I cannot order until Friday. (paycheck deposit) ToD will be over by then. Waaaahhhh!!!
The State Line sheets got me all excited--I have an SLT blanket for my guy that I really love. But they are no longer available.

Check out horse.com, they had a special going on with their Weatherbeeta Saxon TO sheets for awhile. I got one for $50.
Schneider's has some nice stuff too for fairly cheap, pretty much anything 600D and below is fairly inexpensive from them.
Smith Brothers has some blankets on sale right now too. :)

If you have the latest Dover Coupon Catalog check out the Riders Plaid Turn out. I believe its like $55, and they last forever! I have one going on its 7th year, 4 of which where a strictly full time turn out rough house blanket. It has held up, totally waterproof (Owen stood in his paddock in the rain for 5 hours just to test it last week) still looks good although slightly faded. The horse that is wearing it now is not easy on his clothing and hasn't so much as put a snag in it. I highly recommend it.

hm, for some reason I stopped getting the Dover's (despite the fact I shop there at least 4x/year! But I guess I rarely mail order from them) Do you have the item # and coupon code by any chance?
off to check their website. I HATE shopping on dialup. I keep coming in to warm up and shop/compare a little more, getting fed up with how slow it is, going back out, etc. etc.

It wasn't on the website when I checked for you this morning and my coupon catalog is at home. I will post all the information for you later when I am home.

340gm is way too heavy. I've got a 300gm Shires which is *too* hot for a lot of weather.
Dover's arguing with me at the moment and is timing out on searches. :sigh: (prolly my phone line and the time of day--late afternoon is just ridiculously slow)
I wish I could find a Medium McAllister. I really like my McAllisters.

I believe it also comes in a lighter one that is under 340. I can check when I get home, or if Ambrey still has the catalog it was I believe in the first few pages lower right corner below where the heavier one was. They might just call it a lightweight or turn out sheet though and I believe it was 200 g.
