ARGH!
I got it for the family for Christmas, and MAN is it hard to figure out how to STEER!
And the instructions are, um, well...NOT the most comprehensive and helpful...:p
Please, any helpful tips, suggestions, a shoulder to cry on?
(And can we get that damn girl to SHUT UP!?!)
Oy! :sigh:

IF it is the my horse and me game, use the controller up and down toward your shoulder, not out to the sides. Be gentle in your movement, and don't use your wrists at all. Hope that helps! My daughter, who the game is for, has a heck of a time doing it, but she likes me to do it for her to unlock new games... so I get to have fun too!

No. No no no no no. It is not. A very sweet relative got it for me last year and I hate it - steering is so against instinct, it drives me crazy. I don't touch the game at all and would be happy to send you mine... hahaha.

Another "NO" vote! My daughter got it for her birthday and neither of us can steer the d** horse. Very frustrating - save your money!

I love the game, once you learn how to use it! Haha took me awhile! Best thing I can say is to make sure you hold them perfectly straight and only twist the way you want to turn. I was accidently twisting both and it messed it up. Hope that helps!

Argh, these were the responses I was hoping for (and dreading...)
One of my students has this game, and she was telling me that in order to work it (and steer the horse), you had to "pull back and up", and "rotate your hands in circular motions"; I said "AH, exactly the OPPOSITE of what you should be doing to ride *correctly*!!" :p
Just shoot me...

My daughter periodically makes me play it. ARGGGGHHHHHHH!
The worst part is that she figured it out right away and is winning shows left and right. Young people have some sort of mysterious ability to figure these things out.

Sheesh, *usually* my daughter (14, and a computer whiz) kicks my ASS when it comes to thing like this; even SHE is frustrated (and only puts the game on because she enjoys the music...:p)
Maye there's hope, though, if SOMEONE out there has managed to master it!!
