...sigh...but not a real one. My mom got me this http://www.hasbro.com/furreal/default.cfm?page=Products/Detail&product_id=20434 for "when I have kids". I have no idea what to do with it until then?!? Anyways I thought I would share...

Your Mom loves you, can't afford the real deal, but knows you REALLY want one. Give your Mom a hug and keep the pony nearby to feed the dream....one day you'll have a real pony....or TB, or whatever...

My friend asked her mom one year for her birthday for a pony and she bought her one just like that but it was pink!

Well, that would be fabulous if you were 3 or 4 years old.

The recommended weight on that toy is a lie...I rode one like I stole it through a toy store a couple months ago and I weight more than 80 lbs. That pony was just fine...not lame at all afterwards.
So I say go for a ride around your house! And don't try to herd other people's kids with it...it pisses the parents off. :D
And in spring...take it in a halter class or two.

(come on, you know you want to  )

She might have to bulk it up for halter classes and body clip as well. Just FYI, if you want to win.

First thing I said to her was "Can I ride it?!?" :)

It's totally cute, but what do you do with a 3 foot 30lb pony?

Hey, at least the feed and board is free - oh, and no vet bills either..other than the cost of thread if it happens to get a tear. :D And you can ride it rain or shine..oooh, and you can snuggle with it at night just like we all wish we could do with our horses.

Speak for yourself Heatherny! While I adore my two equine boys...I have had to sleep in the barn overnight more times than I wish to remember. That cured me of ever wanting to cuddle my guys all night long...horses are the loudest, most fidgety, fartiest sleepers ever!

Is that toy pony the one where the kids bounce on it and it moves? They had similar ones when I was a kidlet...except those didn;t have fur. I think they came in red, blue or green plastic and the good part was they wore kids out from trying to bounce them all over the place and kids napped really well after an hour's ride. They also had Hippety Hops with horse heads on them instead of just handles.
They actually still make those...before the loca tack shop closed ( miss that place) the shop owner got in a few of those horsie Hippety Hops. AND...they now make them in both kid and ADULT sizes! Big huge bouncey toys for adults! I used to boing around the shop on them. :D
And who here didn't use a screwdriver and remove the springs from their spring horse/rocker and try galloping all over the neighborhood on it when they were kids?

I just snorked ginger ale all over the screen! That image is hilarious... your horsie boys sound like some of my old HUMAN boyfriends!

Hippety Hops! I had some when I was a kid! I went through them on a pretty regular basis--I was hard on them. Unfortunately, I was too tall for the horsie ones... and now they have them for ADULTS??? I MUST GET ONE!!!

 Ah, but I doubt they are worse than my hubby, and I am sure they are softer and more cuddly than him.

I saw smores when I was out shopping yesterday. I noticed the box said she was over 3 ft tall. I stood there for a minute thinking no, way...that pony is not taller than 3 ft tall. Then I realized that they dont measure at the withers . She prob is that tall from the tips of her ears to the ground.

Another thought...are you of childbearing age...is this one of those big hints from your mom that you need to "get on with your life". And did you tell her that when you have kids they will have real ponies? He he he.

That's an awfully expensive unusable gift. That $300 would buy you an awful lot of REAL ponies...

you can either send it back to the shop and use the money for some extra lessons

and you can either say to your mom if not living at home and in with a relationship
that you will wait until you have your xsams and a carreer going on a proper footing before you start having a family dont be pressurised by any means by others until your 100% sure

or you can say mom i am a bit old for this------ and give it back and tell her if she dont return it you will and use the money on
perhaps a lesson or put it in a bank and let that money grow adding to it when you can
so one day you can take the money out and buy a real horse

or you can keep it

if i got that for chirstmas at that age iam sorry but i would have said your having a laugh
surely i might want a pony but i am not that desperate thanks but no thanks
its like an insult to injury as in no compassion but then again might be her way of saying here
have this it will ease the pain of wanting a horse--- for 300$ i would rather have brought you some lessons of which you could enjoy

..."when I have kids"...
THAT had an ominous sound to it!

It's a Gypsy Vanner! Can you teach it to pull your vacuum around the house?

Yes...it is a hint from mom. And in all fairness, she did tell me months ago she was going to get one for me for when I have kids. But where to put it in the mean time...

OMG I am in my twenties and I TOTALLY want one of those! hahaha! They had a palomino one named Butterscotch at a Sam's Club near me and I went bonkers. I think I embarrassed my boyfriend when I kept playing with it. Hehehe I am still a kid at heart. When I have kids I am DEFINITELY buying one for them!!

Grandma(aka Santa Claus) got my 6 year old daughter Butterscotch for Christmas....I told my daughter that I couldn't understand why she wanted Butterscotch when she had 8 real horses already and could buy another for what that toy cost!

Meh...she's happy I guess though. She's played with it already so much that the batteries need replaced and as I type she is sitting on it while watching a movie.

If only you would let her bring the horses into the house...she wouldn't need Butterscotch! :D

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! MY DAUGHER INSISTED on Butterscotch last year for Christmas! DESPITE the fact that she has 2 furry four leggeds in the back yard!

Butterscotch is the COOLEST thing (And the new "S'mores" is the same horse just a different color!). Very cool little invention.

This year my daughter asked for Biscuit, the Fur Real Pup....She got him, of course, and he was 1/2 the price as Butterscotch! Unfortunately Biscuit is very similar to "fur real" naughty Golden Retrievers.....doesn't mind very well, LOL. And is very rambunctious. Knowing how WELL Butterscotch listened, I'm tempted to think there is something WRONG with this Biscuit and his voice recognition software!!!!!

LOL, I'm sure you're all correct....if only she could bring Star in the house...you know, I probably should have just let her since between 6 puppies, 2 adult dogs, 1 cat, and a snake this house usually looks like a disaster anyway.

She also wanted Biscuit...no such luck there, but at least she can ride Butterscotch. :)

I finally got S'mores today (who I renamed Noel...). At first the thing is weird and creepy, then its cool and creepy. Now I freaking LOVE it...but I guess that's what being horseless does to you! You fall in love with freaky mechanical horses with detachable heads...

And even better...my mom got it for free. Walmart refunded her money...
