Need help choosing a picture for something special...

I'm having an article I wrote about me and Corky featured on the back page of the March 2009 issue of Practical Horseman (!!!!!!) and I need to send them a picture of us to put with the article. It's a personal essay about how when I got very sick about 2 years ago, Corky got sick too, and we got better together.

Anywho, I can't decide what picture to use! Please help!

I like #5 for the story.

For the showing ones, some of them are probably professional, and you'd need to know the name/number of the photographer so PH could get permission.

I think I've narrowed it down to #s 1, 3, and 5.

As a few people have said, I really love the mood of picture 5. I think it compliments the essay (article...whatever haha) very nicely, and my dad took that picture so he'd be really happy to have his picture in a national magazine!:lol::D

But I also love numbers 1 and 3! Ahh! The first one was taken at Westbrook Hunt Club over the summer, where we had a rocky few days and had to move down a few divisions, but ended up getting champion, which made up for my slight dissappointment. Plus, in the flat class I won to get that champion, the judge said to me as I walked by him "Miss, I just wanted to say that you rode fantastically today." He'd seen my struggles in the other ring, and I had a smile plastered on my face the entire flat class, and neither my trainer nor my mom knew why...they said I looked like an idiot! Lol!

Then picture #3 was taken at Vermont Summer Festival this summer. It was the biggest show both Corky and I have ever attended (individually and together), and it was...tumultous. He hurt his shoulder the first day and had to be put on an IV of DMSO and had to get a lot of shots in said shoulder. He was fine, but it shook me up because he acts really different when he's sick. We still got to compete for I think...3? of the days? Maybe it was 2...and he was a saint. Better than he's ever been in any ring before. And in my last class on the last day, we pulled a last place :D

I think number 6 is the best to match what the purpose of the article is about...you and him. It shows both your faces which is what people like to see...they like to see the connection that goes with the writings.

As for action shot, I love number 3 :D

I agree, even though it's not the most elegant, perfect one of the horse - I like that it shows you both "doing" but that it also shows you in the most up-close-and-personal, that you can see both of your faces.

Hey guys...I know I'm a little late in saying this, but I chose the 1st picture!

Aaaand....check out this month's Practical Horseman...there we are! I think Corky looks simply DASHING :D The article looks awesome, and it's almost perfectly word for word. They edited almost nothing! This was a long time in the making, and MAN am I happy! I screamed when I got it in the mail!
