Thank you for all the jingles. I'm crying as I type this. Unfortunately we had to make the decision to euth her. She had ruptured several discs in her back. We don't know what happened, other than she may have fallen off of her couch early this morning.

RIP Keisha. You were my shadow, my protector, my best friend. I hope you're pouncing cats and chasing bunnies up there. I love you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I need some major COTH jingles here. got woken up by my 9 yr old Rottie farm dog/best friend/protector. She was on the floor and couldn't get up. We think she broke her hip. On our way to the emergency vet, will update when I get back.

Good luck. We had the same last week, only I thought the dog was shot or kicked. It turned out to be Lymes. Hope it's something simple.

So sorry she is gone.
We lost our rottie when she started having long, hard seizures, got her to the vet and she kept having them there and passed on.

My condolences, it is a shock and such a loss.:(

I'm so, so sorry. :(

I read this this morning before heading off to work but wasn't logged in to post... was thinking of you all day though.

I lost a Good Dog in October. While he was 'only' five, it's hit me far harder than expected. Good Dogs touch our souls.

Vale Keisha.

I'm so sorry you lost your best friend and shadow, MMM. It's never easy is it? These 4-legged angels leave such a hole in our hearts and lives when they're gone. You'll see her again someday...

I lost my 13 yr old 1/2 Rott 1/2 Malamute who was 140+ pounds and had arthritis. He was sleeping behind my dh's truck when he backed up over him, he was to big and old to get out of his way. I rushed him to the vet, his back leg was clearly broken. Vet said he could fix it but at his age and with his arthritis, so I stood there and said goodbye so unexpectedly. I had that dog his whole life, he kept me sane in my 20's and grounded. I cried for days, and believe me I know EXACTLY how you feel. To make it better 3 days later I went and bought a Great Pry. It does get easier with time, I promise.
