If I have not sold my 2006 Weser-Ems colt Bon Jovi (aka Burberry), he will be presented to Weser-Ems for stallion approval. He is by Bodyguard (Black Boy) out of Conda (Chamberlain).
I think the 2006 colt Larkspur (Lateran x SPS Crown Iowa) will also be presented. He sold to a dressage trainer earlier this year.

I will be taking my 2006 Danish Warmblood (Carano x Solos Landtinus x Royal Z II) for approval with both the CSHA and the CWBHA. In 2010, when the Danish Inspections are held again, I will take him for Danish Approval.

Edited to include Capi's most recent photo.

I am looking to put my dutch colt through the stallion approvals as a 4 year old (2010), what is usually the best age for this and would you recommend sending him back to holland to be approved or going through approvals in the us?

We are considering taking Vallado and Apiro to ISR / Oldenburg and Apiro to Hanoverian in 2009. We also have a couple of stallion prospects in the wings - Validation (Vallado / Capitol I / Sacramento Song xx stamm 2067) and Parlay (Parco / Calido I / Lord stamm 741), but will probably present them in 2010.

Showjumpers66, are the stallion prospects 'in the wings' 2006 colts? Are you waiting for them to mature a little more?

Edelweiss de Bonce will be presented to ISR/Oldenburg N.A. and while he has a provisional license with the BWP/NAD, it is contingent on him being presented this year as well. He is fully licensed with the GOV and it looks like he'll be approved in France with the Selle Francais - we should know on that this month. Some other irons in the fire, but we'll see how things progress.

I will probably be presenting my Hilltop Farm bred Innkeeper/Parabol colt, Innverness to Oldenburg/ISR this coming year. He is a really big colt so I am not sure if I will wait another year or not but, I think even if he isn't taken this year he will be fine as a four year old. I am really psyched about this colt. He is really starting to look like something very special. I also have Lauren Efford's buckskin Goodtimes/Michellino colt with me who I will probably be presenting also.
I decided to geld the Scimitar/Innkeeper colt who was licensed this year by RPSI as I want to sell him and I think he will do much better as a competition horse.

I plan on taking my boy (Fact of Life: First Gotthard/Graphit)to the AHS this year...he'll be older (he's a 2003 model), and I had actually planned on doing it this year, but he has been really slow to mature, and up until this fall I didn't really have the time to dedicate to him to get him properly prepared for it. He's definitly still growing, a lot at that, but we are doing very, very well undersaddle-so hopefully he'll look a bit more finished by the spring, and if things go as planned I'll present him this summer. All of which reminds me that I need to get some recent pics of him and update his section on my website...now I just have to find the time!

Taking my TB to an AWR inspection in 09. I bought him off the track in 07 and this past year he came a long ways under saddle so I believe he's ready.

We are planning to bring our 2006 hanoverian colt (Sandro Hit / Mont du Cantal / Eisenbarth) to ISR/Old, CSHA and/or CWHBA and maybe (depends on the location of inspection site vs nb of hours to drive to reach it) to GOV.

We are considering taking a Liberty Gold/Warkant/Argantan colt. He is a 06 model, so still has some maturing to do (and most of all some height). We will see how he progress under saddle most of all. He will be going AHS

They are 2007 colts, so we will probably wait until they are three before we let anyone see them.

I have an '06' Han colt I want to take but might wait until 2010 so he can mature a little more. Of course the inspection is at least 6 months off. We'll see what he looks like in 6 months.

Hi Everyone!
Sounds like 2009 will be an interesting year for young stallions....Good luck everyone! We will be presenting Carte Blanche SCF (Lupicor X Goodtimes Elite X Silvio 1 Elite Preferent) for KWPN Pre Approval next September at Iron Spring Farm. We have the highest expectations for this special boy...He was awarded the "#1 KWPN Jumper foal (tie)" distinction in the USA for 2007. His dam has continued her career as a successful young Dressage Horse, and has succeeded through the Keuring system as well (she just achieved her "Elite" status). These predicates are very important to a young stallions chances of KWPN Approval, so please keep your fingers crossed for us! Carte Blanche's sire Lupicor died at age 12 this year....so there aren't too many of his offspring (especially in the USA).....

Photos and info can be found on CB's page at:

Warmly,
Karin

I am planning to present my '06 Trakehner colt Pizzazz by my late FEI stallion Kreshendo*Ps* out of Russian Trakehner mare Purga by Faktor. This is my 4th generation, and my third generation stallion.

I wonder how many breeders can make that claim?

OOOhh this is a good one.... long.

Senter Stage will go BWP. Looking into RPSI for him.
Grande Leviticus will go AWR, BWP, also looking into RPSI for him.
Gold Finish (Palomino JC reg) will go AWR, and looking at others for him (RPSI)
Capture the Gold (JC reg) met his performance requirements for Old NA and will be presented in 2009.
Skipo Golden Badger (sabino/palomino AQHA) AWR.

LOTS.. But we plan to hold an inspection here for AWR and hopefully RPSI here next year. There is no way we could ship all the mares/foals and the studs to AWR.

I'm excited about those Rascalino colts!!!

I will be presenting my 2006 BWP colt, Gran Casso (by Walldorf son, Fal Turro and out of a Galant mare) to the BWP, RPSI and AWR. He was born looking mature so I don't think I need to wait until he is 4! I just got his veterinary exam with radiographs done so we are good to go!

Our 2006 colt, Shane (http://wbstallions.net/hof-mendenhall/shane.html), by Sandro Hit o/o SPS Pakesa (Prince Thatch xx - Duerkheim) has been excepted to attend the Southern Germany licensing in Munich. Fingers crossed for us at the end of January!

I will be sending my colt by cartano/carthago z to the dutch approval in september. Cross your fingers for me. this is my first time doing this and we have high hopes for this one as a jumper prospect! Noone answered this before, is there a benefit to sending them back to holland when older for approval, or does it not really matter?
