I found a PDF of the dutch IDS and here is a copied foal report of Wynton:
(someone please help translating, online translators really suck at this)

Collectie uniforme, ruim voldoende
gebogen. Een aantal veulens zouden in
draf meer met de schoft omhoog
moeten bewegen. Het gebruik van het
voorbeen is goed.

schoft omhoog moeten bewegen. Het
gebruik van het voorbeen is goed.
De veulens galopperen makkelijk aan. In
galop zouden ze meer lichaamsgebruik
moeten hebben.
Fok-/ aanparingsadvies:
Het fokadvies is gebaseerd op het verrich-
tingsonderzoek en de veulenbeoordeling.
Wynton kan de houding en beentechniek
verbeteren. De merries moeten een onge-
compliceerd karakter hebben en lengte in
de voorhand.
Bijzonderheden:
ging. De veulens werden gepresenteerd op
een zandbodem.
De kwaliteit van de moeders was gemiddeld.

That is the translator I used as well. It gives you the gist of the report but the more interesting details are difficult to figure out. I know we have some dutch speaking people on the board, maybe somebody will help.

Yes, I'd like to know what "The head is talking" about? :D

I personally like "the pant muscle should walk longer through". I am fairly certain "the head is talking" should be that the head is expressive looking. As for the recomendation at the bottom for mares it says roughly: "mares should have an uncomplicated character and good length in the foreleg". I pretty much get the drift from the awkward translation, but will still appreciate having somebody correctly translate it for us.

'A uniform collection of foals whose development and rectangular shaped conformation is more than satisfactory; however, the forehand is a bit short. The trot is active with sufficient stride lenght and actively bending hind legs. Several of the foals could trot with the wither more elevetated. The front leg use is good. The foals transition easily into the canter but should use their bodies more as they canter.

Breeding/Paring recommendation:

Winton can improve carriage and leg use. Mares shoudl have an uncomplicated temperament and sufficient forehand lenght. '

This is the english report that I have from IDS international. I can see that there is some details that were droped but I hope this will help you.

Bloomingtonfarm is giving a good summary of the foal report.... There are a couple more little things like the necks could be a little longer and sometimes the backs are dipped in the foals, but other than that the summary is what it is. It's not the best and not the worst foal report....

What do they mean by forehand length?

I would like Seigi to comment on it but my understanding was that the first part (one third) including neck and shoulder was in proportion 'shorter' than the second and third part. That would explain why they were saying that the neck could have been longer... but I could be all wrong!

Hi Everyone!
Thanks for this thread! I have been considering one of the two Jazz sons Wynton/ Westpoint for one of my mares this coming year. Can anyone pass on any more info on how they compare to each other? What kind of mares would each do best with? I had heard that one had the better type, and one had better movement, and one the better character...Just not sure which is which!<G> Any info would be very much appreciated!
Warmly,
Karin

Based on seeing the two, I would bet Westpoint the better type (although he was almost too long-legged for me personally), Wynton the better mover. Regarding temperament, my guess is that Wynton would be the bet there, but I have not heard any direct comments.

As Siegi said, Wynton's foal report is in the middle, not the best, and not the worst. I really liked the stallion when I saw him this summer in Verden, so am looking forward very much to seeing the foals from GOV mares and more Dutch breeders.

Wynton's mother has a shorter front leg and could be built more uphill. Therefore, it was not such a surprise that he should be bred to a mare that does NOT have a short front leg or a downhill construction.

The offpspring summary of Westpoint is the following:

A uniform collection of well developed, long-legged foals with riding type qualitites and good rectangular shaped conformation. Their movement is light-footed with big strides. However, the foals should be looser in the topline in the trot and canter.

Breeding recommendation:
Westpoint can pass on good movement and uphill conformation when paired with mares that use their bodies well and have correct hind leg conformation.

I would prefer Westpoint but again that would depend of the mare.

And for the attitude in the stallion reports Winton had a very good attitude and Westpoint a good attitude.

However in the stall behavior portion they noted that Wynton is very demanding in-hand and requires a lot from his handler. This results in tension in his gaits, expecially at the walk.

As for Westpoint his stall behaviour demontrated ' An honest and reliable stallion that is easy to handle and calm in his stall.

So I guess in the saddle Winton has a better attitude but handling him is not as easy.
