As promised, I am heading south again, and would love to run some more donations over to Sunkissed (as long as she'll have me )
I was planning to make the trip 12/22 or 12/23, whichever is better for you Lori. If neither of those are good, we'll work something else out.
I will be heading over from Bluffton, SC, so now is the time to start arranging some meetings and collections to put everything together. We'll get the store filled up for those last minute Christmas shoppers, and the post-Christmas bargain hunters.

Yahoooooooooooooooooo more company. Another Cother to meet, friendships and alliances to form.
Either of those dates works for me hon. I am off to NC by air on the 24th so you can pick your date. Niether of the foster kids have ever been on a plane LOL, so our great excursion to daughters house for xmas dinner is in the works. One day off from the farm LOL. Paris goes to the (yup) kennel.
I am so excited and cant wait to meet you.

Oooh, please make it the 23rd! I have off that day and can come up, as well as haul stuff from my area (Cobb/Paulding counties).
If necessary, I'll surgically suture my camera to my arm. I always seem to forget the darn thing!

Is there anything specific you need for the farm?? I have tons for the store, but if you have any specific needs for home, I can keep my eyes open for you.

:( I will be working. Hey Chocomare, I have about 3/4 a bag of feed to give to Lori - do you think you can bring it up with you? It's nothing fancy, but it could help her in a pinch. I'm not a fan of it as it is kind of like Looney Toons' "ACME" products. It is grains and such, but there are pieces of dried corn in it, too.

Heh - hmmm - there's so much stuff in the store people might think they're looking at a packed closet :) Heck, with all of the horsie stuff, I'd love to make a spreadsheet of what Hoof n' Woof has (including the stuff in the garage, Lori!)

Now...if we could only get someone how to explain to me in words of one or two syllables how to run an auction site, we could sell the bigger priced items to a wider audience a few times a year.

Sadly, Summerville doesnt appreciate Eskadron boots and such LOL. What the heck are those? Or woof wear hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm for the dog LOL.
I cant wait for the 23rd. Hooray another good day and hopefully we will have a new and bigger store by the end of jan.

Lori -
Andrew and I will be coming up this Saturday to the store :) We will be coming armed with a notebook and pens to catalog the items for you (that are at the store). I guess we can make a spreadsheet and then e-mail it for someone to print off or something? That way it can be checked off?
Eh - either way - we're coming to "support the cause" - lol. Chocomare said that we have to visit the farm sometime though. Katie Scarlett keeps coming up in my conversations.

Cloudy's owner, er, servant, me, will try to get up some non-horsey stuff to deliver to FK in Bluffton to take up to you. I need to clean the attic of old stuff I haven't used in years.
Any particular human stuff that sells well in the store?
And I'm glad another rescue can use that vaulting surcingle!!!!! It was too wide and bulky for me to use as "training wheels" to ride bareback. Gone are the days when I was young and hopped on hot horses to ride bareback. Now I need those stirrups cause when I clung with my legs to Cloudy and Callie, they thought that meant go faster. I had to buy a cashel softsaddle in order to put in english stirrups, and all that defeated the "ride bareback" idea.
So any human stuff that sells well in the store?
(no junk coming, just things I bought and didn't need and didn't use. duh)

OK my just repaired computer is giving me more problems, so............in case it disappears and I cannot reboot my old one as backup:
Plan A is for Jetiki to meet me Monday morning at 95 and 80 exit and hand off her stuff for Lori. Then I take it and my stuff to the fireworks store at the 17 and 95 exit , and hand off all to Finderskeepers.
If anyone else has anything for Lori in the low country or coastal GA, then you can hand off to me and I'll give all to Finderskeepers.
Oh, FK, btw, Jetiki and her friend have minis!
In case of computer failure, PM either of the others for my cell phone. We are still getting the times straight, altho Jetiki will be coming down about 9 or 10am on 95 thru Savannah.

I am afraid it is so. Paris will be spending one night in a kennel. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh either she will have the time of her life, appreciate her mommy a lot more the next day or,,,,,,,, never lick me again. Now, if you think it will be hard on Paris, imagine me. Ok, I had to phone and talk to the dog while I was in Canada LOL. My friend owns the kennel and Paris will sleep inside. Its where we go to our gility classes LOL.

Tell me about the vaulting surcingle...we could use another one at the Stable :)
It's the one I bought off of ebay from a lady in tennessee. she buys them somewhere.
I only put it on Cloudy once, and it made me sit too far back so I never used it again. I had visions of riding him bareback but needed 'training wheels" cause when I grip with my legs, he goes faster and.......................I'm not young.
So it is leather, has the leather "handles" and the leather strap "stirrup", just like the vaulters use.
makes me sit too far back on Cloudy and I didn't like that.
cost 110 originally, I don't know what Lori is asking for it.
Would have been cool if it had been 1/2 as wide for wussie bareback riding.
so i went out and bought a cashel so I could put my english leathers and stirrups on it, but that defeats the purposed of bareback riding, sigh. So I'm resigned to riding Cloudy with saddle, and other people's plodders bareback.
buy it from Lori! It's very substantially built.
Yea, Hydrophile will send you a pix! The leather handles are stiff, so you can do the handstands with them, lol. I had planned on using them to take care of wb and tb bucks, but.............

I second that on the surcingle! It is sturdily-built, and I am SURE it's a fantastic price. I can get a picture of it for you this weekend if you're interested.

Alright, we're getting all organized... now we need a time for 12/23.
Lori, is it alright if I get there around 11? I am supposed to go to a Christmas party in Bluffton that night. I can be late, but will be "out of the will" as my grandfather so sweetly puts it ;) if I don't show up. So that will give me a couple of hours to get a little tour, maybe have lunch with yourself and chocomare, and make the trip back.
I figure my trip home will be much faster, as my car will not be weighed down with tons of stuff
Also, can you PM me your phone number, in case I get lost? I'm pretty good with direction, but occasionally my blonde does seep into my brain...

Well our visit with Lori was great, but we never got a chance to make it to the store - lol. The rain was horrendous here yesterday so it took us 2-1/2 hours instead of 1-1/2 hours to get up to the farm.
Because of a wonderful person who donated some items, I have a partial list of items available that I will be transferring into a spreadsheet and make it into a PDF for anyone interested in knowing what horsey items are at the store. I hope to be able to head on up to the store again and tag the rest of the items as the list I have is only partial (AND A LOT OF ITEMS!)
If anyone wants a copy of the finished list, please e-mail me at horse30189@gmail.com
I have a feeling my PMs would fill up fast.
P.S. I loff Lori's farm! (And well, we love Lori in general...........and Paris :)) The oldies are oldies but goodies. Andrew loffs Katie Scarlet.....and Big Ben.....and 41 and 51......and Heart......(can we see a pattern?) He was tickled silly by KS's kisses! I should have brought a camera - crap! I think his three "favorite" four legged members there were Katie Scarlet (that's a given!), Big Ben, and Paris....of course. We want to wish Lori and the gang a very Merry Christmas and safe travels as well.

I am pretty sure Big Ben and KS were Andrew's favorites (oh...and anything else with four..or three legs...that had a pulse). I loved how 51 (or was it 41) was playing in her hay like, "ahem - stop checking out my mom and look at me!"
And I am also pretty sure that if the back seat was cleaned out, we could get KS to wear a disguise and jump in the car, she'd be hanging out with Andrew and Cash (the puppy) today sipping sweet tea, giving kisses, and eating cookies.

Yippee, Jetiki and Mr. Jetiki and the 2 little Jetikis brought lots of stuff for Lori, and they were right on time.
And now Finderskeepers has all that and a few other items, like an unworn white wedding dress for Paris (well it has the halo and gold wings, but she can take those off) and some Vernon River fruit for Lori and a few things for Lori from Cloudy and even a small gift for Chocomare.
Oh and Jetiki sent sonme of the TC proofs too! She had her car crammed full of stuff for Lori.

Well i know I as usual had a very pleasant day. Marred only by the constant calls from family on the update of my brother. Everyone is losing it sadly, the pain is horrid.
But, wow, Finderskeepers brought us a fantastic load. As did Chocomare. We got lovely blankets, fly sheets and all sorts of goodies. And Paris modeled her wedding dress complete with wings. Chocomare took pics for all to see the angel LOL. Finders brought us some prom dresses (she is so young LOL) and Miss Amber is drooling all over them. Oh man, they were gorgeous gorgeous.
And the fruit, yahoooooo, complete with leaves LOL. Amber had just finished asking me about getting grapefruit. I bet these are delicous, I know the oranges sure were.
That was so nice of all of you to coordinate yourselves like this. You have made us very very happy and I cant wait to put this stuff in the store. Its beautiful, thankyou.
And Finderskeepers was even nicer in person. Such a sweet and gentle person, I love her already.

I made it home and am getting into bed. The trip up was a breeze, but hit major rush hour traffic through Atlanta on the way home. Ick. And that is why I work my crazy 6:30-3 schedule... to avoid such things.
Lori is amazing, and they fed me the best lunch. I only wish I hadn't had to turn around and leave so soon! And Amber is a great girl. I do have purses and shoes for those dresses... I'm not sure why I didn't bring those with me, but I'll ship those down to you in January.
I have to tell you all... I have never seen happier horses than the ones at Sunkissed. Not a sour face in the bunch!
I managed to meet 3 COTHers in just about 24 hours... this is some kind of record!!
Thanks again to Snkstacres for having me and to Chocomare for making lunch!! Now I'm going to snuggle in with my puppy and get some sleep.
