These are probably the only pics you all have ever seen of me actually RIDING my beloved boy, most of the time, I am the photographer. Well, now that my boyfriend has this wonderful (and expensive) new camera (that requires a degree to know how to use it to it fullest extent) I have been putting him to work. My dad too, as he used to be a pro. So, finally, I have a couple of pics of my RIDING my baby Frodo and I can't think if anyone I'd rather share the pics with than the people who have been around since he was a baby, who have given me advice and their own experiences, who bred their one mare to a stallion for their own little homebred keepers. Thanks guys for all of your help, support, cheers, jingles and similar experiences. I have felt very fortunate to have this board for the last five years, it has been such a great resource.

Clinic from this past weekend, I really like this shot, it makes me want to kiss his little nose to death. LOL (http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i309/bugsnfrodo/dec72008cropcanter.jpg)
I rode for SO long, an hour and a half, I think I was getting tired. LOL Frodo was a doll. (http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i309/bugsnfrodo/trot1207.jpg)
Hrrrmmm, I think I was adjusting the reins, can think of any other reason my arms are like that but, he's being a stellar boy. :D (http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i309/bugsnfrodo/funnyarmscanter1207.jpg)
Whew, we have helmet hair and we're POOPED but feeling good! (http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i309/bugsnfrodo/theend.jpg)

And a few of Frodo being a horse:

This is the face of my dreams, I love kissing that diamond (http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i309/bugsnfrodo/frodocute.jpg)

MAN! I can't BELIEVE he is five!! Makes my head spin.

The area where I live is very scenic but I admit to missing green bushy trees and grass that grows in the "wild" without the benefit of CONSTANT watering. However, you can't beat riding in short sleeves in December!!! :D

He's beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pictures. You look very good on him. I see what you mean about that face. My horse, Avezan, has that look too. When she pricks her ears and looks at me in that wistful way (probably wanting food), I just want to hug her, kiss her and tell everyone, this is MY HORSE! When I see photos of me riding her, and see how hard she is trying for me, I just love her all over again. Your photos and your post reminds me of my horse. :) I agree, gorgeous background. You should frame of those. I love the first one.

Beautiful pictures and incredible scenery. Must agree with the first photo being "frame" worthy. He is truly a lovely boy!

You did everything yourself, too... didn't you?

Yes I did and that's probably why I am so emotional about that boy. I think some of you would gag if you saw me kissing all over this beast. (I do it to his mom too as she took VERY good care of me over the years.)

Thanks for sharing!

I've been following the Frodo saga for some time as it parallels me and my horse very closely..I also have a 5 year old Trakehner who I got around the same time as you (I think? 3 years ago?) and I adore and is the horse of my dreams.. so it's been kind of funny reading your posts.

Congratulations, you're doing great!

Palm Springs is where I live but the riding pics are from Indio and the at liberty pics are from Sky Valley which is on the other side of the freeway from Palm Springs. Thanks guys. As you know, I bred him, delivered him and did all of his training, my heart and soul has gone into this horse. He is my pride and joy! I hope I am not being obnoxious about it. I can help but brag a LITTLE, TINY bit about him. :D
