 I wish I knew more about how Amazon works. This happened a few times with the first book, too, where Amazon suddenly declared it gone. But in a day or so, they had "restocked" and were able to ship again. It must have to do with the holiday season, and committing to books that are or are not in the warehouse? Like I said, I wish I knew more about how they ship the blessed things!
Good luck to getting a copy. I just got mine yesterday. ;)

Good luck to getting a copy. I just got mine yesterday. ;)Aunt Esther, national and international Purse Champion, takes the blame for Amazon having run out.
Aunt Esther found this book to be a lovely Christmas present to all her spectacular, beautiful, thin and rich friends, and bought a large number of them.
Aunt Esther sends fond greetings to RR and says thank you, from the bottom of her heart, for such a wonderful book.

Well, Aunt Esther, so good to hear from you again. Hope you are well and will continue to grace this board with your class and intellect. That said, I just got my first copy about 3 weeks ago. I tried twice to order it over the summer and it was sold out. I got involved reading other books and just recently ordered it from Barnes and Noble. So now you are telling me that the second book is sold out?.........Bummer. Guess I iwill just have to wait for that one also.

There's a saying about the book industry being the only group that advertises that they had a bad estimate of how many copies they need to print resulting in multiple print runs of the same book. Amazon is usually good about letting you order and giving a fairly accurate estimate and I imagine the other stores do the same thing. I think the hardest thing for a publisher is deciding how many they should print, and when we get involved it gets harder than ever.

I ordered three copies, along with two other books on November 30 and was somewhat dismayed to see that the projected ship date was December 15-17 when I checked yesterday. But, lo and behold, I just got an email saying that my order had shipped and is now due to arrive on Dec 15.
Not to say that the $700 Pony book was necessarily the "rate-determining step" on the order.

Yippee! I just got my copies to give for Christmas. I will have some very happy friends!
Reynard Ridge--thank you for finishing the book before Christmas. That really helped my gift giving.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I ordered about 18 copies and was told they may not be here until Dec. 22 but all of them arrived three days ago. I loved to be surprised with better than expected service. :D :D :D

I have tried to order from amazon.ca but they are apparently out of stock. I placed my order anyways, keeping my fingers crossed they will somehow come back in stock and arrive before Christmas as I have one person on my list that will gasp when she sees her present! There was a $10 difference between ordering from amazon.ca and ordering from amazon.ca but I'm wondering if it may have been better to order from amazon.com since I've heard nothing from amazon.ca since I placed my order as to whether they have gotten more in stock yet or not!

I think that they are selfstanding.
You can read the second one and it works well on itself.
Later you can read the first one and some of the second one you will then go aha!, but that's all.
The stories in the chapters are each one good alone or as a series, I think.

I got mine from Aunt Esther! She pointed out that I do not fit into her "spectacular, beautiful, thin and rich friends" category, but gave one anyhow.

Said author really needs to do a book signing at Joseph Beth in Lexington, Ky!! *hint, hint* LOL
Can't wait to get the second book..I've never laughed so hard reading the first one. I bought all my horse friends a copy so they could share in the fun. I didn't know the second one was out...must head to the store tomorrow!

Got the 2 I ordered, even though Amazon said it was "delayed." Who cares? I got 'em and loved reading ever minute of it. I know I sound crazy late at night, chuckling to myself.

:lol: You pay the airfare, I'll come.
And thanks to those who have read and enjoyed! I'm a little shocked that Aunt Ester would stoop to such low brow humor. No, wait, that's not true. I'm a little shocked that Aunt Ester would admit publicly to enjoying such low brow humor. But I am quite honored.
