While I am not a rodent fan-this mouse deserves a gold medal. Just a quick smiley for you.

Ok, so now how do we teach a mouse dressage?

That was amazing. I kept thinking, "Ok, is this some kind of digital trickery?" But I think it is real. Am I nuts? Is teaching a mouse something like that the final definition of "TOO MUCH FREE TIME"????

American breeders will have to start breeding purpose bred mice for dressage. This line is cross country/jumping only.

I wonder if the owner is a psychologist or something along those lines . . . Regardless, a very neat video of a very, very cool little mouse!

I read on the comments that she used the same principle as clicker training but used a ballpoint pen clicker instead!

I love that little mouse.

All you need to get that is time and cheerios. Mice are smart and very food driven.

The mouse trainer has a good website talking about training and methods. The photo gallery is lovely.

Mouse Agility (http://mouse-agility.com/)

And, for fun, here's Rat Basketball (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41ZW0OGp4HE).

Mice and rats are probably the easiest creatures to train. They're absolutely delightful to work with and love novel objects and situations. The toughest thing about keeping them as pets is their short life span -- you can get really attached to them.

Wow, that's quite an education. Personally, I'll keep to horses.
