I went and picked up my new horse today!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

She is awesome!

She is an AQHA mare that is also in the ISR (International Sporthorse Registry) mare book.

She has already shown dressage, Novice eventing & 3'3" Jumpers.

Will post pictures tomorrow. We got back after dark tonight so I couldnt take any and I forgot to take them earlier :D

Is that Al Pugh's horse? If so, I've seen her around at some local stuff- VERY cute and seems really sweet. Grats on a nice one!

Congrats tx3dayeventer! I am so happy Missy will have a job and someone to lover and ride her. Let me know if you come to any events in my neck of the woods and I'll show her son!

I will be going to the barn shortly. I will take lots of pics and see if I can find someone to take pics of me on her. She is SUCH a cutiepie.

I will event her and am hopefully aiming for something in the Spring going BN! :D:D

I will probably do some dressage shows or jumper shows (schooling) in the meantime once she gets fit. I think the schooling shows start in late Jan.

I will post pictures tonight or tomorrow (depends on what time I get home from the barn)

She is going to be so much fun! :yes:

Ok so they aren't that great. I got some of me lunging her (ok so they are just of her) in the arena with the lights on.

I did not get any of her with me on her, the only other people in the arena were these 2 crazy barrel racer chicks that also do trick riding or something. What it amounts to is them galloping around the arena like bats-out-of-he!! and then doing a 180 and dang near flinging themselves off their horses.

I also got some pics of her snuggled up in her new blankie.

Will try to take more pics when its light :)

PS Ignore the horrible bridle fitting :D It's the only I have use of until Thursday :D

Cute mare :D But you need to bring your noseband up about 1-2 inches :) I hate it when nosebands are too low!

I know, I hate too low nosebands too. It is on the last hole on both length and width :(. Her head is tiny as I even have the throat latch on the last hole and the cheek pieces on the 2nd to last hole. I am driving to San Antonio(4 hours) on Thursday to pick up all my stuff as I left it at my parents since I had no horse to ride. I do now, so I need all my bridles and tack and junk.

That bridle is a cheapy to tide me over for 3 days until I get my nicer stuff. I was going to have to use a western bridle (since thats all I have ridden for the last little while) on her until I found that one in my SO's mom's tackroom. Since it is not mine I really did not want to punch holes in it :yes:

So look at the pics but ignore the enormous bridle :D:D:D

There's NOTHING like a "new horse shopping spree"!!!!! When I got my new guy I went crazy. Even bought a Vespucci dressage bridle for him ;) He looks really cute in it, but he probably would've appreciated more treats!

HOPEFULLY you can sneak in a new horse shopping spree soon :D FUN FUN FUN!

Tee Hee :D I know all about barrel racers...used to be one :D Then got wise and switched to dressage. Don't think I'll be trying eventing for awhile though :) I'm kinda a chicken anymore! Congrats on Missy she looks very happy as is Benny. He gets his new blanket this weekend too. :)
