The Dutch reserve rider for the OS2008 Adelinde Cornelissen made her return in the dressage-arena with a breathtaking performance at the Maastricht CDI****

Adelinde proved that she was right to take a 4 months break. With a score of 76+change%, in the GrandPrix she beated Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud by 4%.

Another supprise was Marlies van Baalen and BMC O'jay who also made her international debut aboard her mothers wonderfull horse.

Funny was the fact that also Isabelle Werth won in Stuttgart with a score of 77% (which was also 4% above #2, Monica Theodorescu).

And now for Cornelissen to prove that she can produce this kind of score under team pressure <g>

They all better hope it goes back to 4 on a team format!

Was Isabell riding Satchmo?

Never mind, found it. She's riding Warum Nicht. Didn't she mention she was going to bring Satchmo back for this show?

thanks, beautiful rider and horse.

Can you imagine what this rider and horse can bring in the future. They had some small mistakes, and like all Jazz offsprings Parzival likes to look at his enviroment. But there were many 10's on the scoresheets.

Today I wouldn't draw the conclussion (like the commentator, who btw is a very talented GP-rider herself) that a new Anky is born, but this ride gave me goosebumps (specially the first piaffe and the flying changes every second stride and every stride). Hope this girl can find a good sponsor to keep her going.

My gosh, Theo, what an AMAZING horse. To have those three gaits, all in one horse; to have that rear end and that working through the body...all in one horse.

WOW.

I do think Cornelissen is sitting so much more in balance, so in the center , she is able to let that horse out in front, it gave me goosebumps as well.

SO rare to see that kind of power and expression and consistency.

Hats off to everyone involved with that team. I am sure there will be sponsors knocking on her door!

That was a joy to watch. I'd take that ride with pleasure! I'll admit I'm not an upper level rider, but I don't usually see piaffe to passage transitions as nice as some of those were. I'm more used to seeing a sort of "lurch" from piaffe to passage. This was so smooth you almost had to look again to see the transition. And I thought the tempi's were fluid and full of expression without being crooked or too tight. A real pleasure to watch. Definitely a combo I'll be following in the future. :D

In fact, I think I'm going to watch that again. Thanks Theo!

Yes it was one of the few rides in the last years that gave me goosebumps

Like Isabell Werth said the last time when Adelinde gave her a hard time at Aachen , "where does this girl come from" .

@ Canyonaok

Did you watch the broadcast of the General Assemby and did you hear that
the 3 riders per national team rule is under reconstruction and will be reconsidered :D
