Here is the link to the '08 results of SHN (http://secure.arabianhorses.org/perl/AHA/showresults.cgi?func=displayclasspick&show=8834)
As for dates check the AHA website at the begining of December since the Convention is at the end of this month and everything including judges are announced at that time.

Thanks. We have to put in for Vaca time in December for the upcoming year for it to be 'sacred' and not subject to revocation. I really want to put in for some time during it. I have a place to stay. I may or may not be able to get a horse there. I'd hate myself if miraculously horse qual'd and I couldnt' get the time off...
Sometimes I forget the rest of the world doesn't work on the kind of rigid advance schedule my job does. :dead:

Good luck - I emailed AHA months ago asking this very same question. No response. :(
I'm thinking about taking this guy:

Usually, dates for these things are set up years in advance...I do find it strange that there are no dates listed on the AHA website, and like I said, emailing them to get dates got no response. PP, you're not the only one who needs to plan well in advance!
Also, I thought the SHN was still rotating from Idaho to KY..and would be in Idaho in 2010? And back to KY in 2011. But I may be wrong.

I could have heard wrong from a friend of mine. She really wants me to go SHN with my half arab that was born in April. I can't see any point in making plans yet for a few years, since I don't know it is worth the trip for in-hand when if I wait another year and he is going Training Level.

Thanks guys. Thought I was the only one that thinks it's ridiculous this info isn't posted yet.
Cyndi... you GO! He's very nice. Congratulations! Your others are looking fab too. Of course, you know which one's *I'm* partial too. ;)
I really would like to go, one way or another. Even if just for a few days, since I've got a place to stay. Perhaps watch this year and reset the goal calendar for '11. :sigh: We'll see.

Went to the Kentucky Horse Park website. Sport Horse Nationals are shown for September 21-27, 2009 at the new indoor arena. So presumably there's a contract. Hope they get the new stabling built by then!

Usually National Events aren't offically announced till Convention. I just got back from AHA judges school last week but didn't hear any mention of it there. Once the reports are in from the Committees then the dates, judges etc are all published.
I can 'try' to contact the SHN Chairman if you want me too to see if I can get any info. But again they may have already left for Denver and try is the opperative word
If it's on the KHP website already then I can only presume that those are the official dates. You have never shown there get qualified. If the weather is nice that place is absolutely amazing to show at. I have numerous times.

Pinto,
Do a USEF competition search, it shows the dates as Sept. 22-26th.
Sounds like the right weekend, regardless of the exact dates.
I'm more inclined to think USEF has the correct dates. And, 22-26th is Tues-Sat, which matches the dates from 2008.
I'm also surprised by the lack of a posted date on AHA's site. I don't know how the internal process works, but the people I know involved suggest that it's all firm and set for 2009 in KY (yipppppppe!!!!!!!).
