I rescued an old (28-30 year old) 17.3 hand TB gelding that had been abandoned by his owner. He had been left in a large pasture under a selfboarding agreement but the owner only paid for 2 months and then stopped contact with the property owner. The gelding spent fall, winter, spring and part of the summer on the pasture without any supplementing, hoof care, etc. until I took him in on July 4, 2008.
Long story short, a lot of my money is going to farrier care (he was riddled with abscesses and very poor soles) and feed (very underweight) and it is now time for the dentist to come out. When I first got him a lovely lady who knew his original owner (now deceased) donated a blanket. It is great but this boy loves to roll so I need another blanket to put on him while this one dries and gets cleaned. I live on the West Coast so it doesn't get too cold but it does rain a lot.
If anyone has an old,used 84" rain/winter blanket I would be very appreciative and also I am willing to pay for shipping (I live in Canada).
