But, horse has a condition which requires him to wear leg wraps 24/7, (about 6 wraps per day). If his leg is not kept wrapped, he would likely not be alive. With all this mud, the wraps are needing to be washed daily and we cant keep up. We have spent about $500 in wraps, so at this point are looking for donations (will pay shipping!!), mismatched, old, used, 1, 7...whatever! Or, if anyone knows where I could buy CHEAP wraps, that would be fine too....cheapest ones around here are $30. Please PM me if you have anything. We have lots of cottons, but need wraps.
THANK YOU!!

What is wrong with your horse to have to have so many wraps? Just curious.
I don't have ANY wraps. I guess I should get some in case I need them, just have polo wraps.

I used to have a set of "standing wraps" that came on a OTTB mare my grandmother donated to a friend. They were totally ghetto, made from heavy cotton fabric that someone had cut into long strips. They held them on with masking tape. But they worked great! They were just a royal pain to wash because they tangled much worse than the poly wraps you can buy.
But maybe try something like that? I ended up using them for some project, or I would send them to you to check out. You could get some heavy fabric on sale at a fabric store and cut strips and it would probably be pretty cheap.

Flannel wraps are what most of the race trainers use around here. After working at the track and using the flannel wraps I actually think I prefer them now to my nylony ones. They are super cheap (just buy the fabric and rip into strips of the appropriate width). The trainer I worked for secured them with bandage pins, but many others use masking tape around the top where the velcro would be on normal wraps (I think this is safer personally). I'm sure you could find the right kind of material at a fabric store there, and it is super cheap.

Sorry I don't have any extras, and very sorry you and your horse are going through this. Just wanted to second the flannel idea. My wraps are flannel and I wouldn't use anything else for standing wraps now. They were bought, not made, but I don't know why you would need to do much to simple strips of flannel. Mine had the edges sewn, but after almost 9 years of hard use, there isn't much stitching left. The flannel itself is still great though. Something I found and could not live without, though is a net bag to wash them. It was cheap, prob from Wal-Mart. The time I save detangling now is amazing. In a pinch I can and do use polo's but nothing beats flannel for evenness and staying put. I'm sure you know this, but make sure you have plenty under them.

I should have about a dozen wraps both flannel and standard. If you PM me how to ship them COD I'd be happy to send them on.

Check out the consignment area at local tack shoppes.
The last few I have been to have had a few pairs and really cheap.

Squish, we moved your thread to Giveaways.
Generally, if the condition isn't an issue and it's not typically a big-ticket item, we allow the occassional request for things here. ;)
Good luck!

There is a tack store in Littleton Ma, called the Horsemans Exchange. They have a used 'bucket' of some sorts that sell standing bandages for $1. I have a OTTB that needs one leg wrapped 24/7 and I purchase a few of them. Try calling them, maybe they will donate some to you.
