Event or Dressage Barn Millington Tn(Finally sold the house)

Hi! I was hoping that anyone here might be able to give me info on any barns that do event/dressage in the Millington Tn which is just outside of the Memphis area. The only one I have heard about is Kim Gentry. We are showing 1st level dressage, and he has done BN with his trainer and is school some 2nd with trainer also. Training available would be great as he can be complicated and knows all of my buttons.:yes: Any suggestion would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!:)

Ok, so finally house is sold and move is at the end of this month. Trainer has said that I could just do lessons at this point so would like recommendation on a nice boarding facility with or without training. I plan to hopefully haul to lessons so recommendation for a dressage/eventing trainer would be nice as well but do not need to be at the same facility. Thank you in advance for any info provided. I'd suggest that you look at MidSouth Horse Review, which is online. I know there is a fairly (for us) large dressage center in Hernando, Miss. which would be about an hour or less drive for you around the outside of Memphis. I think the facility is called MidSouth Dressage Academy. http://www.midsouthdressageacademy.org/ The trainer is Ila Hardy, and people haul in from hours away. There is another barn with a German dressage trainer, also located in the Memphis area, but I forget all the details. You could ask on the dressage board.

The long time dressage trainer in the Memphis area is Peggy Gaboury at Cranefield Farm.

I'd suggest a quick PM to Robby Johnson - though now in AL, he evented out of Arkansas and is likely to be able to direct you to some good resources.

Thanks to all responses. The house we are renting is in Atoka(sp). I'm currently driving 2 plus hours to his stable(owned by friends and excellent trainers) so anything under that will feel like heaven. Not looking to compete seriously, more for fun and novice will probably be the highest we go, it's just that the boy can be difficult and I would like help with the sticky points and to maintain his training.

Yes, my husband has been stationed there for a year now. Housing market in Wa is a little rough right now but starting on the upswing.
