I need a van from Illinois to Pennsylvania for 13 horses. Drexler can't do it till Thanksgiving and Brookledge is too expensive. However, if I can get someone to take 3 of the horses from ILL to PA then I could get Brookledge to take the other 10.

Specifically, I'm trying to find that mid-road type of vanner who does 3-5 horse loads. Can anyone help with info?

Have you spoken with Joy Cooper out of Fair Hill? I have to admit I don't know her prices at all but I know she is reliable & well-liked. Cooper Vanning.

Unfortunately, she like many in the vanning world, doesn't have a website.
Do you have any contact info? Does she have a van to accomodate 13 horses?

I PM you information about a friend of mine who hauls out of PA! He has a brand new 9 horse Pegasus Trailer and Freightliner truck!

He is a 1st class operation and is resonable in his rates!!

Hey, If I buy that horse from up there at Hawthorne I will also need a ride down to either Bowie, Md. or the Middleburg Training Track in Va. If you have room on that load . Please let me know and what I have to pay. I will need to get that horse down here.;)

Just an FYI Bowie training center is on lock down for at least 20 more days. Not sure if that is where you were talking about or not.

DH, have you checked with Johnsons"s out of Shartlesville? Top notch care and from what I understand reasonable compared to others.

Van is picking up the horses on Saturday AM and I think they have one stall left in their 15 horse van.

I got a call on Saturday night really late from the " Trainer' and apparently he had to SCRATCH the horse from the sunday race . Because the groom put the wrong liament on the horse and he stocked up and was lame.!!! so now he is calling me back about selling him to me ! ;)

Did you happen to notice Laurierace's message? If the horse is at Bowie, or has been within the time frame when the quarantine began, it cannot travel for 20 days. If the trainer was considering running the horse it may be at Laurel, I am not up to date on the situation there but there is at least one barn under quarantine orders there also. You may want to check with this trainer.

Violating these quarantine orders can have serious consequences at the very least for the trainer and while I realize they may seem to be overreacting, in the case of reportable diseases it is not.

Have you tried Tony Aprile? I believe he runs a lot of the same routes that Drexler does. Aprile Horse Trnsprtn Incorporated 708-258-9449

He hauled a horse for me a couple of years ago from FL to KY- very nice semi, great people to deal with, and very fairly priced.

I have this all setup. I called Bob Hubbard and while they couldn't do it they hooked me up with someone who could. Thanks for everyone's help.
