I had decided to keep little Dumplin cause he is aged but.......................there is no reason on earth someone would not enjoy him as a companion animal or pet and he is so cheap to keep.

He will come with his new clothing, a teeny tiny halter and attitude LOL.

Dumplin can not live with any meanies but he would be great great company for an older horse. He is missing a few teeth so requires a bit more time to eat his groceries but has no medical issues.

He eats so little, you dont notice he is there but, he sure does like his groceries and lets you know it.
Dumplin was a petting zoo guy from Zion Farms, and did the riding thing but....................never should have.

Very very cute little paint looking for a new home.

I think he is on the website but if he is not, I will gladly email you a picture. He is a little palomino paint. Cute as a button and as easy to keep.

a pic is being posted of this little guy. maybe I should not have described him as aged LOL. His coggins says he is 20 but I know who he came from and not exactly mister honest. But, if there were any reason he would not be enjoyed or if he has needs beyond normal, I would not adopt him at all. He is truly a little gem, healthy and robust.
He would love a mommy for xmas.

Can you tell us how tall he is?

I will be down that way for the holidays, and we have been looking for a little guy to add to our retirement family... Just trying to see if I could fit him in my hatchback

(I'm only half kidding...)

Finderskeepers, Dumplin was spoken for by Equineartworks in NY but wow, you will be down this way. The little fellow needs a ride and eaw said she can pick him up in PA.

I know you are wanting the little darlin too but...........................first come first serve, I am so sorry but maybe you can help get him to his new home and love on him the entire way.

What are the chances.

Well if I could help, I would be happy to!

We have a little private farm in Pittsburgh, PA where he would be welcome to hang out. I can get him as far as Erie with a stopover here for a few days... That is if he could fit in my hatchback...

Regardless, if we get a trailer to bring him closer, we have a lay over for him! We have a stall, food, open paddocks, and loads of love that he would be more than welcome to.

I know people have transported minis in vans before, but don't know what the regulations are... but if we could do it, I will be down for Thanksgiving next week, and then will be down again the week of Christmas. Any help needed, I'm happy to offer.

Finders that sounds amazing!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! If there is any way you can do it, please let sunkissed or I know. I would happily split gas for you or what not as well. I really want my Dumplin' man here by Christmas!

We have lots of folks up here that routinely travel into PA and back so I know I can get him from there, but I don't have a trailer right now (or a truck...long story! stupid transmissions!) so I am relying on some help to get him here :)

This is funny. Equineartworks. My transmission went two weeks ago also. I couldnt believe it. 700 miles over warranty. The truck still runs but i am told not to leave town with it. What good is a rescue without a truck hmmmmmmmmmm. I just dont have the 2000 to repair it.

Now, I have a trailer that can be used to haul Mr. Dumplin. If we can find someone to use it to come back down with it, that would work. Its a single horse trailer so not large, just 7 feet tall LOL. It could easily be pulled by finders vehicle. I cant pull it these days anyhow and the way it looks, with two more foster kids coming in just before xmas, it will be while before the tranny gets done.

Alright, let's try to get this organized! I don't have a hitch on my car, but could rent one from Uhaul and have it installed before I leave next week. But I wouldn't be able to get the trailer back down until 12/20, and would hate to have it that long, in case you need it.

I very well may be able to borrow a friend's trailer though, and then we wouldn't have to steal Snkstacres. I could get him to Pittsburgh 11/30 and then could probably get him to Erie the next weekend, if you could pick him up from there.

Let me look around/ask around a little this afternoon and see what I can work out as far as a truck and trailer. I want Dumplin home for Christmas too. :)

If we can get Dumpling a ride to my farm in Knoxville,Tn. I can get him to Lexington Ky. or Louisville Ky. which ever would be best for the next pick up.
I'm meeting a Lady just south of Lexington probably this weekend to pick up a TB , she will be pulling and empty trailer back to Louisville and has to go back through Lexington maybe we can find a layover in Lexington till the next ride north or I feel sure Heidi would let Dumpling stay at her place in Louisville a few days ,till we can find him a ride North.

Sadly, I'm having a bit of a tough time finding a trailer to borrow for such a long trip.

What about a cargo van?? I wouldn't mind having the little guy in the vehicle with me the trip back. I could get one of those for the trip very easily and have him in PA by 11/30, and get him to Erie the next weekend, if need be. My brother is coming with me on this trip, so I won't be alone on the road either.

It may not be entirely conventional...but he's a little munchkin, and he'll have plenty of hay to keep him occupied...

heheh finders, taking my trailer is not an issue, I have another. If it can come back down by xmas, I wont miss it. Its a lightweight easy pulling trailer in good shape.

Dumplin will easily fit in a van but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,how would he get in. High jumping is not his fortey LOL

Well I was thinking we could make him a ramp... but a trailer would certainly be easier.

Can you let me know how much it weighs? Then I can see if my car can pull it or if I need to rent a pick up for the trip. I'm happy doing either. I could bring your trailer back to you before Christmas on my next trip down.

Ok, sorry for the 900 posts... but

I think the best plan would be either a cargo van (if I can make a ramp for him) or I'll rent an SUV and tow the trailer. I'm sure my car could pull it, but I'm worried about the mountains in WV on the way back. There are some decent inclines, and I don't want to get stuck.

equineartworks, I'm sending you an email to try and figure some of these details out ;)
