I have a Fabuleux on the way for next year, out of an Idol/Pilgrim mare, and I couldn't be more excited! I absolutly love Fabuleux and the offspring I've seen of him :)

So, tell me about yours? Pictures? Videos? What kind of mare are yours out of?

:D

I LOVE LOVE LOVE our Fabuleux foals!!!!!!!! Awesome is the only word for them :)

Our first one is just starting some basic undersaddle stuff in the weeks to come. She has been showing all year in the USDF stuff and got a 79% in LA back in Aug. She is out of a Winterprinz X Gold Milan mare . From day one she has been the most simple filly. Out of all the foals I have known she has been by far the easiest. I just adore her. We plan to keep here and I look forward to her future.

The second filly is also a super easy going and simple girl. She sold at 3 weeks old and is now a year and a half and still a total AA horse. Her dam was a dutch mare ( Final Pool X Fruhlingsrausch) .

I have been so happy with my dealings with Bridlewood --- you can't beat the service.

Count me as one of the biggest fans of this boy! Pics of my girls below.

Here's one that I bred:
http://www.runningwaterwarmbloods.com/index_files/Page435.htm

Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y93bKlwp_JY

He's Fabuleux/ Eisenherz/ Pik Konig and a little hotter than most Fabuleux offspring. I blame the dam line for this, but it makes him the type that will do very well in the ring. We'll see; he'll start showing under saddle next year.

He had a very good year at the breed shows in 2007, despite being quite a handful as a two-year-old! His accolades are listed on his page (above).

I've met a few Fabuleux babies -- and bred three myself -- and I can say that the reputation Fabuleux has for throwing "easy" babies is true. Florian is definitely an exception! Fabuleux tends to add length of leg and good movement. Best of luck!

Kendra

Edited to add: The video lists him for sale but he was sold last spring.

I have had two Fabuleux out of my AHS approved TB mare who also passed the AHS MPT. Both have had super easy, easy temperments. And both are very, very people oriented.

I sold the 2006 colt at 8 months, so I don't have any updated pictures. He had a super, super canter and trot and a nice walk.

Picture here:

The 2007 filly is a keeper for my program. She has a super walk and canter and a nice (more hunter type trot).

I had a really nice Fabuleux filly this year; she actually sold in-utero. She was the easiest, most friendly and laid back baby from birth. Her dam was a Rampal mare. Pics from inspection are below!

My Don Schufro mare had a gorgeous colt by Fabuleux. He had the best canter I have ever seen. He was sold in-utero and if not I would have kept him. He had very correct conformation, was very typy. had 3 very good gaits and a super temperament. I have really liked all of the Fabuleux's I have seen and Barb is great to work with. :)

Here is a photo of my three year old Fabuleux filly who is also a keeper. Lovely temperament and beautiful to look at. Right now she is 16.1 hands and growing. We plan on presenting her to AHS next summer and will then think about breeding her. She is so easy and nice to be around.... very unflappable personality. Click on the Broodmare link.

I've bred 5 Fabuleux's out of 4 different mares and all are well above average in gaits and personality. All have the same characteristics in temperament, topline and length of leg. I have sold all but the last one from my Metternich mare and will be keeping her for my own use. She seems to be a rare individual with 3 outstanding gaits. Fabuleux offspring are those that helped me get 3rd place in Breeder's Group at Devon in 2007. They are awesome. I have plans to use him one more time on my Don Crusader/ Wonderland mare. My 2 1/2 year old Fabuleux colt is out of a Grandseigneur mare. The mare is one of the funnest horses I've ever ridden, super trot and canter, very forward and sensitive (like riding an eggshell) but sensible. My hope was to basically duplicate her as a riding horse, keeping the wonderful temperament and rideability but tone down the sensitivity a hair. She also needed a little more length of leg, a better walk, and a prettier head. We pretty much got all that with my colt although I'd say his head is more handsome. Earlier this month, I started him in a Buck Brannaman clinic and he was easy, easy, easy. He always has been. He's now turned out for another year and then I'll send him to my trainer to be started again for good. He's a keeper!

I recently took posession of my '08 Fabuleux x EM Roma I (Rubenstien)colt, bred by Barb Schmidt. He is such a very lovely type! He really floats at the trot, walks like a cat and truly a puppy dog temperment. If there are folks out there debating over Fabuleux, I recommend taking the plunge. In addition, Barb is wonderful to work with! I'll try to figure out how to post some photos of Fortissimo B.

I have an '06 gelding by Fabuleux out of my Warkanson / Akzent II mare. He is the sweetest boy (but momma is quite a nice girl too!), super temparement, SMART, and I don't think he ever went through the serious yakling stage. He was always same bum/wither height. At 26 months old he is 16hh. Overall, Fabuleux improved the neck/shoulder connection, hind end (much better than mom's) and my coltie's shoulder movement/reach is much better than mom. She is a nice mover but all suspension (up like a deer) while the Fabuleux is all reach. Quite nice. Oh! And his feet/hooves are fantastic! My farrier just loves them! The walls are so solid, never chip, and this is definitely not from mum. ;)

Fortunate Future "Fortune" by Fabuleux is absolutely amazing. She is 2.5 years now and we are about to climb aboard next month just for light and easy riding. She has been long lining for 8 months and wearing a heavy Tex Tan saddle for laughs and she loves the attention and hikes through the hills all tacked up. She is TALL and elegant. Below is a picture of her coming back from a long-line hike this year. There are two video clips. First is video of first saddling and first bit (then they go pole bending with bit using trees, cute). Second video is her inspection as a 4 month old where she WOW-ed the crowd and was Champion filly. The judges comments are awesome in the video.

Fabuleux is a handsome guy! My 4you is now a hunter prospect. She's a Fabuleux/Bordeaux/Goldstern. She has quite a sense of humor and is VERY curious. We planned to practice free-jumping and set up the chute. Facette was brought into the arena and let loose to relax a bit. I saw her looking at the chute, then walk up into it. The next thing I know, she's gone through the whole thing on her own. Then she cantered back to the beginning and jumped it all over again!. She's never been near a chute before. She's also an accomplihed escape artist. My rising 3yo has been doing her ground work. I went to watch her on Friday and was amazed at how well she is doing. I've been a bit concerned that she may have inheritied a lot of her mom's hotness. Yep, she's sensitive, but can she ever move! Also very smart. She was moving from walk, to trot, to canter with ease. At first I thought that she was on auto pilot, but when I asked her trainer about her changes, he said she was watching his body language and I can say that I never would have belived she would be so focused at her age. I love my Fabuleux's. I wish I could keep them all. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Peg

I just wanted to share that our 3 year old ( born in 2006) Fabuleux filly was the winner of the 3 year old division at her show yesterday and earned a score of 85.3%!! She was also reserve champion of the Mare Championship.

Hi,

We bought a Fabuleaux gelding as a 6 month old. He just turned 4 this year. He's BIG (17.2hh) but his dam was also a pretty big girl. We started him lightly as a 3 year old. Gave him the winter off and he's now back to work this spring. He's been coming along really nicely this year. If he's ready, we hope to take him to his first show next month. Im super excited! He moves beautifully and has tons of personality.

I hope this link works...this is him as a 3 year old (late summer).

Fane's dam is EM Tiramisu. She's a hanoverian mare by Tambourin. We bought Fane from a couple in Oregon that had several nice young warmbloods for sale. I would love to raise another foal but have no broodmare of my own to breed to. Then again... 5 horses is probably enough!;)

Dressage Diva- We will be presenting her for her Mare Performance Test and inspection at Star Vaughn this year. Ericka Reining started her this spring and will be riding her. We will also take her to championships at Rancho in Oct. After that she will come home to my place and I will ride her for a couple months before she turns out to pasture for winter. She was bred to Rousseau on Sat. so hopefully she will take a short maternity leave and then be back on the circuit as a 5 year old.

I am excited about her foal-- if we get it to happen the breeding will be
Rousseau X Fabuleux X Winterprinz .. :)

Fortisimo has just turned 3 yrs old. He has been wonderful to work with. He is by Fabuleux out of a Graf Goetz mare. I have 2 videos of him undersaddle. He has had a ridder on his back for a little less then 8 weeks and he has been very easy to ride. He has a lot of growning to do yet, so I'm going to turn him back out in the field and not ride again untill fall. Fabuleux has produced some great offspring, I can't wait to see them in the dressage arena!

Here is mine. I loff her. She is two years old now and almost a clone of her mama Rubizza. :D

Funny, because mine is also (with excetion of her color...) a pretty darn good copy of Mom...with better hind-leg conformation...very nice filly, and I really like her!

Actually I agree with this for mine too:D. Of the mare's 6 foals, this one is most like her mom in type and body build (but actually prettier than her dam, who is very pretty) but is a better mover, especially the canter and the walk. Actually, from far away, it is hard to tell the mother from the daughter (you have to look for the sock to tell the difference).

DressageDiva - your new filly is adorable. What a pretty face!

Fabuleux shortened and strengthened the loin connection, lengthened the legs and passed on his super canter. Mama Rubizza shows up in my filly's head, neck, temperament and presence. It was a combo that was just about all I could have hoped for. I love the facy that Rubi's bathroom habits (put all the manure neatly in one corner) cam through, too.:lol::lol:

How appropriate! I just bought one ;)

His name is "Frankie" (Franklin Square) and he's a full Han. out of a Wummenstern mare. He's currently 3 years old and 16.1 or 16.2 depending on whether you measure the front or back :) He's expect to mature 16.3, though the shipper who brought him to me said he thinks he's got another HAND OR TWO in him. He'd better not! LOL.

What sold me on him when I saw him advertised online was his gates. He's got a big, big walk, a BIG canter (pretty flat and hunter/style though not thoroughbred flat), and a BIG canter. He's currently pretty bum-high and still moves very well. I expect him to be even nice when he's even, older, and stronger.

What made me buy him was his attitude. Nothing phases this guy. Nothing. He not only doesn't act like a 3 year old but he's as placid as any horse I've ever dealt with. Yesterdat he got on a trailer and rode 10+ hours to come to me, a person he doesn't know. He walked off in a strange barn, didn't call to the other horses, walked down the aisle, and went outside and hand grazed like some 16 year old pro show horse that is used to travel. He was super quiet under saddle when I tried him, and I am really, really looking forward to working with him. I have never had a young horse like this before (4 year old OTTB is the closest) but he is so even tempered and so quiet-- he made it seem do-able for me.

I don't have great photos yet because he's only been with me for a day, but here are some as well as video from when I tried him...

!

Congratulations!! That is what I love about my filly best, she has the most amazing temperment. Calm, easy to train, VERY friendly, and yet not dull at all.

Have fun with your boy!

I love my boy! He was started in June and is doing very well. He is the first horse I am truly starting by myself and he is SO smart. I never have to repeat a lesson, he just catches on to everything instantly.

Wow, honeychile... your boy sure looks a lot like mine. Do you know much about his dam?

I am hoping I'll be able to pipe back in soon with some show pictures of Mr. Frankie. We're working on it, taking things slow for now.

I thought I'd come back to a couple old threads where Fabuleux was mentioned and give an update on my 3 year old. He couldn't be any quieter, easier, or more amatuer friendly. Serious, this is one baby with a good brain.

I've had him since mid-July. In that time he's gone to a strange property with my trainer and did a clinic with Richard Lamb. Richard loved him. He jumped some small jumps with fill and didn't blink-- went right over. Did I mention my trainer had never jumped him before-- ever, and he hasn't gone over so much as a crossrail since I bought him? He was trotting in and cantering out lines over 2'3 brick walls and rolltops. No fuss, no muss. Offered lead changes too.

He went to a schooling show in a very spooky indoor and marched right around with my trainer. No one could believe he was three. He was just quiet and easygoing, in fact-- my trainer needed spurs. :)

I took him, sans trainer, to a local schooling dressage show. Got right on with no lunging, schooled, went in-- and got 4th on intro test A. I've never so much as been at a dressage show, let alone schooled-- and he was beaten only by higher level horses showing down a level to school for their actual classes. Entirely quiet, not a spook in him. Completely easy and I was able to handle him all by my nervous adult self.

Yesterday he went to a HUGE show. I mean HUGE, and full of chaos. Hundreds of horses, people everywhere, music, hounds, bleachers full of people watching, a country fair with blow up rides, loud speakers doing the jumpers, loose horses, crashes/falls-- you name it, it was there. He was a bit up, but then settled right in and hacked around like a seasoned pro. Ribboned despite blowing a lead in his class, and was moved up over other horses in the conformation portion.

And he's THREE. THREE! I just love this baby's mind, and I think Fabuleux gets at least a portion of the credit :)

Bumping in hopes of some updates!

Our Fabuleux filly is going to be 4 this March! Where did the time go?!?!?

She is still as sweet as she was at day one. Always willing never difficult! She is currently carrying quite a baby belly.. she is expecting a May Rousseau foal!

The other Fabuleux filly we bred is super. She is still owned by her AA owner. She has the most impressive canter and her personality is much like the mare above. She is also going to start under saddle work in the next month or so!

I couldn't be happier with my Fab babies!

PS. Bella is quite a stunner ;)

My boy is going to be four this May! I still have a U/S picture from almost five years ago of a little black dot. ;)

Here is a conformation photo that I took yesterday. He is still gangly but once he fills in and grows a neck I think he'll be a stunner.

My '08 Fabuleux/EM Roma I/Rubinstein colt is doing great. He is so entertaining and smart. Measured him today, 15.1h at his withers and 15.2 behind:) I've posted a couple of photos from his dressage breed show last September at Conyers. He was reserve champion colt...proud mama.
