Any thoughts on how he'll do in March?

He ran in the aborted Prix de l'Abbaye on Arc day at Longchamp, Europe's premier sprint race. Unfortunately his German jock never noticed the flag for the false start and he raced all the way to the line. The rest of the horses were pulled up after a couple of furlongs. You can watch the whole farce (http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=QiLvi58gyBc) here. He didn't take part in the reshceduled running later on that afternoon.
Pity, as a lot of people were excited about seeing how he matched up against the best French and English sprinters. He looks like a monster in the videos of his Austrian and German races, but he wasn't running against much in the way of quality so hard to know he fits into the big picture. Pity they didn't take a shot at the BC Turf Sprint, but I get the feeling his connections are not exactly loaded.

Quite a few vids on youtube.com of Overdose (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=horse+overdose&search_type=&aq=f)
How long before the Russians make an offer his connections can't refuse? ;)

What happened in that aborted race, for those of us linguistically challenged? Hard to tell from the one brief look back. A jockey stuck in the gate? Horse stuck in the gate?

The gate malfuntioned and the the starter declared a false start. There was a certain amount of confusion among the jockeys, as you can see. The jockeys that continued to race picked up hefty fines.

Love the picture of him giving the trainer and his dog a ride. What a cool horse.

Yeah, I read about the false start. Really a shame. He seems a neat horse.

He actually was brought up in a thread the other day in the Off Course forum, because of this collection.

Overdose continues his tour of Europe by absolutely destroying the field while carrying 64.5kg (yes, that's 142lbs!!) in the G3 Premio Carlo é Francesco Aloisi in Rome Italy on Sunday. Watch the replay here (http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=JttYOx9F60g).

Can he go a mile, or are they keeping him to sprints?
