Just read on MareStare she's colicing. Roz is in foal to Popeye K.

I figure the more jingles the better. Vet is on the way.

Thank you. I switched Roz into the stall with the paddock. It will be harder to keep an eye on her but she was getting to worked up calling to her friends.
She was tubed with oil. She has decreased gut sounds and is still uncomfortable. We will be keeping a close watch on her and the vet will be back out this afternoon to check her again.
Thanks,
Genevieve

Many good wishes ROZ.

Thank you for all of the jingles, prayers and well wishes.
Roz is doing pretty good. She really scared me this morning. She was down when I went out to feed, no interest in getting up. I tried for about 20 minutes to get her on her feet but she would not budge. Called the vet and gave her Banamine I V. Finally got her up and into the barn where she went right back down.
The Banamine kicked in and she has been calm. The vet tubed her but is not happy with her decreased gut sounds so he is coming back in a couple hours.
Poor Roz has had a rough year so I appreciate all of the jingles.

ROZ update?

She still has diminished gut sounds. She has pooped small amounts 3x today.
Lots of gas. She has not passed the oil but I am not expecting to see that for a few more hours yet.
She has not had any more Banamine (since 7 this morning) and seems to be fairly comfortable. Occasional pawing, kicking at stomach, biting sides but nothing drastic.

I would love to see a bunch of poop. The vet is ready to send us to Davis if she starts to get painful again.

I would rather not take her there since the last time she was up there was when Roz' filly died earlier this year. Not in a big hurry to go back.

My computer just locked up, but it looked like she pooped in the far corner?

This is rediculous - read my reply to your post on Val's thread.

Hey Gen, why don't we (you and I) take a vacation together - jump on a plane and just get away??? I wanna run away from home!

It looks like you have nasty weather right now (from your video camera). Maybe some nice warm water would help? I sure hope that is Roz in the stall with all the poop...

How are things this morning?

The outside cams in the morning pick up the fog and make it look nasty.

Roz's stall has lots of poop, hoping that she's on the mend.

Roz finally passed the oil so we are doing the happy, oily poop dance here.
She has been cleared for turn out which made her very happy.
She still has crazy bad gas but does not seem miserable like she did yesterday. I will keep a close eye on her but am hopeful the worst part is over.

Thank you for all of the jingles.

Sabra - when do we leave? Lets go some place with umbrellas in the drinks and sandy beaches. Oh yeah, cabana boys. We need cabana boys.

Roz is a very happy camper again. I think she just wanted to make sure I was paying attention - give me a good scare.
Thanks for asking VB.
