..of this filly. I am asking because people were guessing wrong at the show in this picture (before they saw which classes she was in). Just curious what knowledgeable breeders think...
Here she is:

I'd say under a year...9-10 months?

Here is my guess... Weanling (4-8 months)...just a big, fast maturing one!

Weanling, I'd say 6 months old.

Based on the tail, I'll say weanling also (6-8 months).

Weanling - and photo is taken at sort of a weird angle which makes her look a little sucked up.

I think 7 or 8 months. could be a fooler and the tail was cut shorter which makes me think younger. Well, really I guess anywhere from 5-8 months. Just a big good looking gal.

I'm guessing an older weanling, too. Probably in the neighborhood of 8-9 months.

A lot of "yearlings" are 8-10 months old when they are classified as yearlings because of the calendar year. I guess I wasn't thinking what time of year it is. I guess I should have thought about true age rather than "age groups".

I want to guess 7-9 months...

Nice try everyone. That was so much fun! :-) Well, what can you tell from just one photo anyways. Many people at the show thought she was a two year old, perhaps because of her height. She seems light in the weight department but she was going through a growth spurt.
Two of you were correct. She is a YEARLING. She was born June 6, 2007 which makes her 1.5 years old Nov. 6. I have never cut her tail. It does look kind of foalish.
Okay, now can you guess her breeding? ...as in breed, not sire or dam.
Here's two more shots of her:

I bet if you put this picture up, and told everyone the leggy blond handler was 5'11" or so they would have guessed a yearling!

Hay! Caught red handed, Lisa... I was trying to have some fun here without you giving it away.
Yes, Spacely, that is my Raffaello x TB filly. This filly is severely entertaining. She is SUCH a card, great sense of humour, way athletic, extremely bratty yet loyal, intelligent, willing and loving. Never had such a "weird" horse but I'm nuts about her. She is making a very good sitter for my 3.5 month old colt. She'll be a great mom some day.
And yes, if you breed your mare to Raffaello, be prepared for a beautiful quirky little foal. He seems to pass on that warped sense of humour that I was not informed about until it was .... too late... :-))

Thanks Ladybug. I think she is going to be a gorgeous gray mare when she matures...and I have never had a gray in my life... I may have to sell her because my farm name is Dark Horse Farm. Uh-oh...
Spacely, how did you know my filly's breeding. I see your farm is in CA so I don't know you. I'm wondering if we have met?

I just remembered you'd posted about having a Raffaello filly last year & figured it might be her.
