Wow! 20 euros is a little over $40 right? I would do it. The only downside might be if you didn't get along with the horse...I wonder if there is some sort of agreement about reselling it. But I would still purchase some raffle tickets:lol:

Anyway to verify if this is legitimate?
Only asking out of pure curiosity, mind you. I will not buy a tkt, I will not buy a tkt, I will not buy a tkt........
How much is shipping these days? Again, just curiosity.......;)

I wonder if any of my relatives (distant cousins) could board him for me:D
I have my bags packed and ready to go to Ireland, I share him if someone wants to splint shipping costs:winkgrin:

about $ 36.00 for the ticket and 6k to 8k to fly him home that is minus quarantine charges so by the time all is done you will have around 10k in him....maybe a little more depending on if you get door to door or if you have to then go pick him up from the quaranine center and how far that is from you.

Silly question....is this a he or a she? I was confused by the part where it said this gelding would make a fine broodmare.....

I know you are in a different country but - really! - it does describe his dam as a "Premium Broodmare". Other than that, you are seeing things.

Actually, EquiBrit - the spacing of the page does make it look like the horse is being advertised as a "premium broodmare".... LOL over here - and I'm Irish to boot! Good thing I'm only into mares these days (my lone male prefers no other males in his stable - and he's a gelding!!!).

I have not seen the actual ad, but I am adamantly against ANY animal being a raffle prize....it's not some airy-fairy animal rights thing here, it's common sense. Who would OFFER their good horse as a raffle prize? Are there any qualifications for the winner? Is the horse to end up with a non rider in a back yard tied to the clothesline? Or even worse, with some yahoo who THINKS they can go galloping off and jump over things they have no business jumping over?

No vetting, you haven't ridden the horse, no video... and you would win him in a raffle? I would be really leery of this proccess! Devils advocate here, but still.
