The original is much better (from a film camera). This is a scanned and cropped version.
And another from the digital camera:
This was from a 16 mile ride we did last weekend. :)
She's gained 50 pounds since starting the Gastrogard and her coat has already shined up. I thought her coat was healthy before, but I can really tell a difference now!

Are you back to riding in the Abetta?

Are you back to riding in the Abetta?
Nope, not really. Just borrowed it for that ride due to some other technical saddle difficulties.
Her attitude is good! I've some some very nice rides on her and she seems to be doing really great on the Gastrogard.

I really envy the country you have to ride in. Looking at the first picture I have never had such a beautiful water crossing or access. Everything here is flat and covered with crops. Nothing natural.
In the second picture her coat really shines.
A truly beautiful girl.

Wow - I love that one in the water!
So your mare had ulcers and you didn't know it for awhile? I'm glad the medicine is helping.
The more I learn about ulcers, the more concerned I am about how many horses have them, and how UNDETECTABLE they are!!????
How did you finally find out that was her problem? I'm no hypochondriac, but it just seems that many horses are afflicted with ulcers, and it's super hard for even the most obvervant owners to tell that it's ulcers bothering them....

I'm so glad she's feeling better. All things considered, that is a RELATIVELY simple solution. Expensive as all get out, but simple once you figure out it's ulcers! :)
Just curious, what's her breeding? She's almost got a bit of Khemosabi look to her!

Ah, gotcha.
I'm thinking it's getting close to time to go treeless myself. I wanted to when I got Mitch, but couldn't. The Abetta X-wide was the compromise until such time.
Probably won't happen until at least Christmas or later though, I just started a new job (which means money for the saddle, yay) but the weather's still so good I want to focus on riding, and wait until we start getting some storms to start looking at a treeless.

Yep, it's expensive as heck but at least it was a definitive diagnosis. Whew!
She's from the Psyche line, Padron's Psyche and all that. I don't get into bloodlines too much so I don't know what the dam side is other than Asadd* who was Egyptian I believe.

REALLY pretty mare. Is she purebred? (asking because of the discussion earlier in the thread in re: her lineage)...she looks to have such a nice size! I love her coloring....
the info on ulcers is very informative...my guy is so high flight/stress, I've often wondered if this could be an issue...but, to date, has never had weight loss...is that always a definite symptom?
Very pretty girl. I'm so glad the GG is working for her.

Very pretty mare! The photo in the water needs to be printed as an 8x10, framed and places in a high traffic area, absolutly sublime :).
