View Full Version : Looking for home, sound 4 year old OTTB

Bad stuff first--she has a spot on her eye from being hit with a clump of dirt. Very little issue with vision (I was told New Bolton said she had 90% or better vision, but no way to confirm) And...thats it!
There. Now that we got *that* out of the way (who else is always scanning for the "But....here's the bad news..." :D)
COMPLETELY SOUND, turned out for 5 months, sweet, pretty "liverish" chestnut filly who is ready to go back to work. probably stands about 15.2, and owned by CANTER Mid Atlantic. This filly would thrive on one-on-one attention and because of that we'd like to give her to an approved home as we have too many.
Currently turned out and happily living outside, seems very quiet though we've not had a chance to sit on her.
CANTER has too many being turned away and ending up who knows where, so now that she is happy and sound (no previous injuries, just typical track soreness) we'd like to find her a home.
Pictures being taken tonight! We would prefer that she stay somewhat local (under 5 hours) but may consider further spots.
Email for more info.

There is absolutely *nothing* wrong with this sweet girl--
Doesn't anybody know someone looking? I want her to have her own person, she's just kind of lonely :(

She's only four! She's still going to grow an inch or two. I bought an OTTB mare at 5+ and she grew an inch and a half in the next year. No, she had not been deprived or underfed. So you could end up with a horse who is 15-3 or 16 hands in a few years.
I wish I could take her, she could hack to the barn where I board.

She's really nice. Fancy front end and no long spindly canons. Too bad I have no time for a seventh horse.
If somebody wants a mare to ride then breed, you could do worse than this girl (based on these photos).

Anyone know of anybody heading towards Georgia with an empty spot on the trailer?
I LOVE this mare - her size, her color, her build. There's always room for one more at Long Leaf and I'm currently in the market for a nice TB mare. Hmmmm...

Dog Willin' and the creek don't rise, I believe this girl has a home.
Wow, that was an effort! Of course the more time I spent with her the more I wanted to keep her!
