posting for a friend who recently discovered her mare is no longer jumping/heavy work sound. Orion is a 8 yr old, 16.1 1/2 AWS trak/tb mare, dark bay with small star & hind sock. She is beautiful to look at and is sweet to boot. She is as honest as they come and rarely spooks at anything. She would make a great trail horse or fox hunter. She is better living out or a situation where she run in and out and is better with a friend. Gets antsy in her stall in the mornings when she hasnt been out for awhile, but is maintainable.
She has sidebone in both front feet and has fused hocks. Untill this recent discovery, the mare was sound on isox daily with the occasional bute and monthly adequan. She was showing & winning @ 2ft locally. She is currently wearing bar shoes but there are articles that say sidebone does better barefoot and living outside.
Currently located in upper bucks county PA. good home and references a must! Email/PM for pics.
