I bought this pony back in July, basically sight unseen, as just something to break out and play with for the fall. I got her home and she was about 200 lbs underweight.

Right after I got her home I noticed she walked very awkwardly down hills and didn't look completely sound. I had the vet out to look at her and his first suspicion was a neurological disease, possible EPM, wobbles, etc. and had be start her on Vitamin E & Selenium.

As a follow up, I had the vet out yesterday, he was happy with the improvement in her body condition and said that she does not show the signs of EPM because she has actually developed muscle in the past few months, whereas with EPM she wouldn't be developing muscle mass. His suspicion is still wobbles (which I doubt), or his other suggestion would be she suffered from head or cervical trauma which causes her to be slightly "delayed" with her movement. He told me I could continue to watch her and see if she improves, but I'm a little discouraged at this situation. I paid for a horse that, in reality, may not be rideable.

She is a June 2006 mare, dark gray w/ 3 white socks, measures about 13.3 now, pretty cute mover. I have AQHA registration application papers for her, she isn't registered yet. The vet said that it is possible she may be usable as a broodmare, as long as whatever the issue is is not passed on to her foal. She gets along with my other 2 mares & gelding, she's very friendly with people. Leads, ties, loads, lunges (w/ tack), etc

I am located in central PA, close to Harrisburg. I really just want to find her a good home, she's such a sweet mare that has had such a terrible start already. I will try and get some pictures up if anyone is interested.
